All Wii-enhanced. And no support for GC controls, unfortunately. -

Registered 16 years agoI wasn sunsure about that thread yesterday, saying people could find inanimate objects sexy. But the box is bloody nice. REALLY nice. I need to have it, preferrably with the games still inside. -

Registered 13 years agoMine's already on order from the US.
I have a US machine but a word to PAL owners: homebrew. Safe, region free-ness. I should get mine a few days after the US release. However thanks to homebrew I can just burn off the image and play it too, whilst awaiting my official copy to arrive - depends how soon until it's up I guess.
I'm so excited about this...
MP 1, 2 & 3 are games that I will play forever. The addition of Wii controls (one of the VERY few games that justifies the Wii's control system), 16:9 support, graphical enhancements and additional incentives like the task-achievement things and rolling it all into one neat little package make this 100% win. -

Registered 12 years agoYeah, if you have a Wii you should definitely homebrew in some region free-ness. It's so easy. -

Registered 17 years agoI would really like somebody to explain to me in easy, simple, real-world steps exactly what I need to do to homebrew my Wii. Every guide I've seen has confused the fuck out of me and put me off doing it. -

edit: EG's referrer doesn't seem to like it, so you'll have to "quote post" and then copy and paste from there : /

Admittedly the box looks incredibly lascivious, great value for money too. but i already own the games. Box art and aesthetics alone cant sway me on this one, that would be beyond materialistic.

Registered 14 years agoI never finished MP 2 so I may have to give this a purchase as I loved the first one so much, one of the few games I went through twice and probably my second best experience on the GC. -

Registered 16 years agoI never finished 1 and didn't even buy MP2; When playing MP3 I couldn't help but wonder how much better the first two would have been with a proper control scheme like in MP3 so even though I have plenty of games at home that I didn't even start yet I feel incredibly tempted to get this. Is it some kind of limited edition or can I risk it and wait a bit before I buy it? -

Registered 17 years agoAny chance at all that we can import save games from the old our old Gamecube memory cards onto the Wii and use them in these new versions of the old games?
I got very, very stuck in Echoes and never really bothered to spend any length of time getting past it. I would love to try again from where I left off. -
You can say you'll buy this in the first couple of weeks in the Nintendo UK site and you'll get bonus stars. -

Registered 12 years agoI never got the chance to play a Metroid Prime game and always had that on my 'to get' list. Now I can transfer 3 games into 1 as I'l be getting this version! Then again Modern Warfare 2 can be seen in the horizon. Hmmmm... -

I strongly advise you get this, no need to contemplate. The original Metroid Prime is one of the most immersive journeys you will ever go on, pure Nintendo magic. Plus, add the two follow ups and you have yourself a trilogy to savour.
( and have you seen the box? slick and lascivious, get it!) -

Registered 14 years agoCorruption saves won't work on Trilogy. Which is silly as the Wii does allow games from a publisher to access other game save files from the same publisher.

Updated graphics, incentives (similar to Xbox Achievements - the credit system like in MP3) and an AWESOME control scheme are what justify this.

It could come in a plain slip case for all I care, it's the game that matters. The box is just a very, very welcome bonus (I wonder if I can get my cock into it the box?)- I don't see a problem buying it for the art too though; I bought this cos of Okami.
Also of note I think is this is possible the first time on Wii that Nintendo have catered to the hardcore; I mean, who else is likely to buy this en masse? Probably 80-90% of people who buy this will be hardcore Nintendo fans. -

Registered 19 years agoThe homebrew channel thing... Am I right in thinking that even though my Wii's updated to the latest version of Nintendo software, I can still just get a copy of Twilight Princess and be able to do all this stuff... And that it'll let me play region free stuff and DVDs on it?!?! -

Registered 16 years agoYes and no; Nintendo eventually fixed the Zelda exploit so you can't install HBC using Twilight Princess anymore but there are other ways that do work with newer system versions.
As far as I can remember there was yet another update in the last few weeks, maybe this one disabled the latest exploits as well but I wouldn't worry too much because there will be other exploits which can be used. Google for Wii Bannerbomb. -

Registered 14 years agoThe last update (4.1) just fixed a bug in the system menu which showed up with Wii Sports Resort, nothing else changed between 4.0 and 4.1.
As for those questions, search the forum, once for 'bootmii' and other for 'DVD' and pick the newest threads. -
