Registered 20 years agoHow long does it take to come to life if you let the battery run down? I forgot to charge mine this morning and it has switched off. Now I'm looking at a blank screen and nothing is happening. I've tried all the button combos to get some life back into it, but nada. -

Registered 18 years agoLong shot but has anyone dealt with these guys before? An unlocked 32Gb 3GS for less than I can get a 16gb 3G on contract, is it a case of too good to be true? (I know for a fact Italian phones are factory unlocked by law so thats a start) -
So, did/will any 3Gers make the jump in the end? -

I'd say too good to be true, frankly. But I know nothing of them.

It's no one thing really. It's sorta the opposite of death by a thousand cuts. All the little improvements across the device stack up.
But I know that if I do wait, and this time next year they release iPhone '4G', I will be glad that I held out. Bit like the 1G hold-outs that have just upgraded I guess. -

Don't use it so much then. If you just use it as a phone and make a couple of calls a day or whatever it should last you easily well into the next day. Or longer. Start using the web or any of the fab apps you've no doubt installed on it, and expect to get a day's use, which is more than a laptop would give you!
Ok it's good, but why the hell do I have to charge it everyday? Is this not slightly stupid?

If your contract expires in Feb, how come you get eligible for an upgrade next month?

You may as well wait until July and get the latest one I guess? -

Dunno, guess that's policy on my contract. 18 month, but upgrade eligible after a year.

A 32GB iPhone 3GS on upgrade would cost me €299. Acceptable. -

Registered 19 years agoI want to Jailbreak my phone so i can use ScummVM i take it if i do so it blanks all my data (music, video, games etc) Also how do you upload games to it via Bluetooth?? i take it using SFTP??
I have a 3GS which atm doesn't have many ways to be Jailbroken as they seem to be waiting for OS 3.1.
Also the latest ScummVM itself isnt fully compatible with 3.0.
Might have to wait a bit. -

Registered 19 years agoOK i'm not understanding the O2 Tariff for this now.
I have 600 mins and 500 txts a month.
1. I take it i can call UK landlines and other UK mobiles and they come out of the above?
2. Is O2 to O2 free or does that come out of my allowance also ??
3. If i call a 0845 or national numbers etc they get charged at their rates as they dont come out of the allowance?
4. 1 MMS costs 4 txts?
Looked at the website but i have confused my self

Registered 16 years agojust got my first bill.
I've been with o2 for many years and for the last few contracts managed to blag £10 off my contract each month rolling.
I bought out of contract two months early and signed up for the 24 month £35 tariff and amazingly my discount is still being applied - whoo! -

All I'm hoping for is more reliability TBH. I could have been very happy with a reliable 3G, but am secretly chuffed I've got a 3GS -

Registered 16 years agoWhat a brilliant result - I'd be very happy with that, despite the obvious hassles of having a phone go tits up on you. Still, it's not unheard of with high tech gadgets. -
