There's a fair few to choose from. The most likely answer will be 'Ocarina of Time', but I'd plump for either 'Link to the Past' or 'Twilight Princess'. How about you? EDIT - spelling and stupidity. |
Which of the 'Zelda' games is your personal favourite?

Registered 15 years agoI really like the Wind Waker, the cell shading and art direction made it my favourite game on the cube. Ocarina is a very close second mind. -

Registered 16 years agoFor me it's twilight princess. I tired all the others (admittedly OOT well after the event due to the small issue of having a life and not gaming at that point), and was severely underwhelmed. When I played TP I suddenly got it, I think I'd enjoy all the other crap more now. -

Registered 14 years agoFor nostalgia's sake it has to be LttP, it just brings back such ecstatic memories of my childhood, then it would be the standard fave of OoT, but I recently played Minish Cap, it was also totally awesome....and despite what any of you peasants think, I also loved TP so fuck you
To be fair, they have all been so good, it almost makes me want to be gay with Link. -

Registered 17 years agoI remember being amazed by OoT, but I think I prefer TP atm. I'd like to play WW again as I never finished it. -
As perfect as LttP is, Ocarina is still my favourite. -

Registered 14 years agoI really liked WW but the same as Derbs I didn't finish it on my first play through, I've since given it another go and got all the way through it, it was great but IMHO not one of the best ones, really nice art style but the whole sailing thing didn't really do it for me tbh. -
OOT was the most impressive at the time, but got a soft spot for Link's awakening -

Also, forgot to mention, Majoras has my favourite Dungeons by a long way. -

Registered 17 years agoMine are Ocarina of Time then Wind Waker then Twilight Princess. Oddly enough I hated Majora's Mask. -
They haven't made it. -

Registered 14 years agoI'm with Darren on the Majora's Mask thing....It really didn't do it for me either...I wouldn't say I 'hated' it, but yeah, wasn't for me really... -

Registered 14 years agoOcarina of time without a doubt. It's got it all, massive main quest, loads of hidden extra's and things to do, excellent dungeons and truly epic bosses. Not to mention the best score in a zelda game ever (imo)
Majora's Mask was very good, and I'd love if they'd kept the involved side quests into later iterations, they just didn't really fit with the whole "The World Will end in Three Days" schtick. Imminent Armageddon was just a bit too pressing to worry about compared to a depressed postman or rude children.
Wind Waker was beautiful, and I really liked it, but the sailing wrecked my head after the first couple of hours sailing in empty blueness.
Twilight Princess was also excellent, but it was too easy, occasionally repetitive, and felt very empty of interesting sidequests and hidden secrets. Strangely, although it was occasionally repetitive (Those fights with the monsters from the twilight realm for instance) It also had brilliant bits that were just throwaway things. (The race against the yeti)
I haven't played a link to the past, but the 2d games I have played all felt a bit like the 3d versions but with less charachter -

Registered 16 years agoPersonal favs for me were Lttp and MM. Both had a nice, pleasant look, then a slightly darker side (the dark world with Lttp, and the Moon in MM) - but not in a stupid emo way that a fair number of games are at this present time.
Honourable mention to Link's Awakening, as it was my favourite gameboy game to play if i was on a particularly shit, rainy holiday as a kid. -

Wind Waker for me. I didn't play OoT until long after release (just after playing Wind Waker actually) and thought it was horrible.
I played Twilight Princess just after Okami so that probably got unfairly judge too, since the whole wolf thing had just been done, and done better. -

+100
For some reason, that empty, longing feeling you have after you've completed the game made me want to shed a tear :'(

Registered 17 years agoOcarina for me, although LttP is a very close second. Both are close to perfect games in my eyes.
I loved Links Awakening, Majora's Mask & Wind Waker too, but never really clicked with Twilight Princess. I got to the last boss & just stopped playing. I keep meaning to play through it again but never seem to get round to it. -
