We have a chance, but I can't see us keeping a clean sheet at home, so that away goal is probably moot tbh.

Registered 2 years agoI've been critical of Pogba but he was great tonight. So we're Bruno and Cavani.
We should be smashing teams with those 3 in the line up. -

Registered 13 years agoCavani is the real eye opener for me. Doubted he’d have the motivation in that team but he’s been incredible
Sees passes that others just don’t see, now his team mates are on the same wavelength we’re seeing his true value -

Registered 9 years ago@retro74 yeah its a real shame he is going to leave. I had some real reservations when we signed him regarding his motivation to play for us and his injury record but he is has been great. I completely understand why he wants to move though, being stuck here in lockdown by himself and never got to play in front of the fans. I would love him to stay for one more year though. -

Yeah, luck was on our side but Emery should shoulder some blame. We were there for the taking, they were dominating the game completely and his instinct was to change things and protect what he had. After their red the players showed what a mistake that was.

Registered 14 years agoGot proper galaxy brain vibes from Arteta yesterday, I like him, he (mostly) says the right things but in practice just can't seem to deliver consistently. Doesn't help that 80% of the squad are mid-table fodder. Can't see him lasting if we don't go through. -

Registered 16 years agoFor me one of the main issues is that players are asked to play in too many different positions, and its not down to injury problems. Sometimes Pepe is on the left sometimes on the right. Sometimes Smith Rowe in the hole, sometimes wide left. Fuck knows where Odourgard is meant to be playing.
Like these are young players, they need consistency and the time to learn a position and where their teammates are going to run into space and where to aim passes. -

Registered 12 years agoIt's the problem with the short term hype transfers the club seems to love. Even if he wasn't fucking off for greener pastures at the first opportunity, realistically you can't build around a guy who's probably got a couple of good years left at best if you're being realistic. It'll be more upheaval in the summer, filled in by someone else looking for their quick retirement package. -

Edit: Even typing that sentence was hard.
