Given the loss of tac overhead view, I might just use my x360 controller. Good thing they support it.
Also, shiiitt I can't find my Witcher 1 saves.
Odd.. the game creates thousands of them.
And no tactical view!?!? wtf... why!!!!! -
Environments, third of the gameplay trailers after Combat and Living World.
(At least I think so, I hope it's not old) -

Registered 11 years agoThe graphics are so beautiful considering the graphic were a little rough in the first I'm really suprised.
I'm really happy the pad works on the sequel this will look stunning on the big screen. God I need my PC fixed ASAP, I gotta get through Witcher 1 so I can jump in this. I think everything else will be put on hold for now -

Yeah I only found out recently myself, so happy about it. I think they needed to make sure it works with a pad as they are eying up consoles for the 2nd one, it's just the funding so if the PC one does well enough I think they'll be putting it out on consoles to. -
Well I really didn't think The Witcher 2 would offer controller support so didn't even bother following it at all. Plenty of PC games that should offer pad support don't even bother, which can get extremely annoying.
Hopefully it will go the whole way with proper button icons ect... -

Tell me about it, Bioware are one who does my head in with the exact same games as the consoles yet they can't implement pad support!
I would imagine they'll use proper icons as there are lots of stuff in Witcher. Having keys show up instead of the icon could get confusing. -

Registered 9 years agoI saw part of the video demonstration when CDprojekt did that event thingy, it looked really fun, rolling around tossing bombs and slicing up shit, I kind of want to give it a try especially when it has controller support, except my computer sucks..
Bioware is ridiculous, I think they made some of those design decisions just to troll their fans =P. -

I think the emails are going out today yeah. You also have up until the 31st to buy it before you lose the pre-order discount as well. Which is good as I'm skint this week! -
I didn't even know GoG had preloading? I've pre-ordered it on there, but dimly remember that they've sent me an email that it's not a binding contract yet anyhow, and I'd only have to pay once I finally decided I wanted to buy it from them, etc.?
edit: Ah, I think bad09's post explains this. Should have refreshed. -

Heh. Make no mistake, the cards in The Witcher are trashy, tacky, airbrushed-motorhood style kitsch. -

If I was to get this in a shop, I can put the key into Steam and download it there can't I?
I don't think it's Steamworks, although I might be wrong. -
No, you can't. If you buy the game on Steam, then that version actually has Steamworks embedded into it. But, the retail version doesn't have a "Steam" CD-key that you can use. -
