Registered 15 years agoI tried playing this the other night on Ranked. Searching for Same Skill. Kept getting people in double digit on their rankings with their characters.
I, however, am Scrublord, trench-dweller, unskilled nublet with sausage hands and no idea how to even use my fightstick correctly.
It was fun, up until the 16th straight loss.

Registered 15 years agoBlanka's are the worst, agreed. Shoto's I'm fine with. Blanka's and Boxer's do my head in.
But I'm a Gen player >: -
I used to smile when I got a Shoto (in my SSFIV days, haven't played much in the last two years) as they were usually scrubby as (not that I was much better, but at least using Balrog meant they weren't as familiar with his moveset).
Can't find me old USB Saturn pad, so I've retired my 2D fighters :/

Looking at their play style all I could think was "shirley that's NO FUN?".
Gah, I really want to play this now. Might throw on AE and have a bash with the DS4, see how that goes (I have a cheap Hori stick, but I will never be able to play stick. I'd probably be better with a Guitar Hero controller). -

Registered 16 years agoWrt to the "no fun" thing, I always think that about zangief.
Not that the character isn't fun in itself but you basically force your opponent to play lame and make you work like fuck to get in.
If you look at the capcom fighters channel, all of snake eyez match videos are literal twice as long as everyone else's because it's just a slightly depressing game of cat and mouse. -
Worst people online are the Zangief playing, 30 second 1 round players. I didn't even realise the game was over until the timer went. I never realised people were so desperate for PP.
