I liked Eternal Sunshine, but it didn't make me cry, except for Kate Winslet's poor hair.

It's the scene near the end where they realize what he is doing and that there is nothing they can do to stop it. They say something like "What now" "Let's enjoy what we have left"

God, it makes me cry just thinking about it. My wors fear right there. Realizing that I'm losing my memory and that I soon won't be able to recognize my near and dear

Yes, but for the wrong reasons though.

Oh, do you not like it then? It's just the bit at the end. I can't help it. So sad.

    No, I love it.

Gremmi: First time I saw that, there was a tear at the end. Good film!

me too. In both a happy tear thing about the determination, and a sad one, about Jon Candy.

I know I cried at the cinema over something in recent years but I can't remember what it was. I just remember being mocked for it.

Cos it's cheesey as hell, and as subtle as a brick to the face.

Still stirs me though, as I love the film.

The Killing Fields is pretty weepy when they meet up at the end.

    Good call!

Mind you, I'd not class that as a weepy so much as a proper bawl your eyes out kind of a film.

There is a difference between grim and weepy. Requiem for a Dream and The Proposition are both very grim but hardly weepy.

I dunno Lutz - the fact is, it's a tragic end. With or without the soundtrack.

Why is it pathetic? I was very fond of him and I rented Cool Runnings for the first when I heard he had died. I know it's not the last film he made, but it's a good performance, and whenever I've watched it since, it always reminds me that he's not around any more.

I was going to say, “weepys” are things my nan enjoys watching with her nitting and a cup of Bovril.

I would not recommend Requiem for a Dream to her anytime soon.
