Registered 20 years agoPart 8 - Not the most entertaining to watch, but certainly the most intense yet.
Streeter goes skydiving. Amir overcomes ethical objections of skydiving company's participation in ingenious way.
Streeter:
I'll be mad later, but right now I'm just so happy to not be dead
The basketball one is still the best one, but the prank war has now taken another step towards its inevitable conclusion: murder.
At the very least, one of them is going to involved in a life or death situation and react as though it is all a prank, thereby making things worse (or getting themselves killed). -

Registered 16 years agoStreeter's face when he does the double-take on the fake ripcord is great. -
the next stage is obviously something like this:
- poison is administered to stop the victims heart
- an inept paramedic fails for ages as victim clutches chest and panics
- eventually restart heart
- other one comes in and yells "gotcha"
job done. -

Registered 20 years agoI see that in a few of their pranks they enlist other members of the CH team to assist them.
What would make for an awesome prank is if one of those people went all double agent, and was actually helping the other one, such that they knew in advance what the prank would be. They could then make the pranker think that their prank had accidentally killed the prankee.
One of the comments on digg had this excellent suggestion, and then went on to suggest that the pranker then be charged with murder and held overnight, only for the (allegedly dead) prankee to show up to post their bail.
That would be rather epic. -

Part 7 - Amir is selected for a blindfolded halfcourt basketball throw at halftime in a game, with a $500,000 prize. Streeter convinces the crowd to cheer as though Amir has made the shot.
High school kids attempt to recreate this prank with their teacher, and, well...
That's amazing.

(Big thanks to the OP for these vids. Never came across them before, and passed some time on a very dull Wednesday waiting for the Apple announcement ... -

Registered 17 years agoFox guy's basketball was off the screen for quite a while there; if there's gantries and stuff above the court there could conceivably have been a catcher above him to grab his ball, and a dropper above the basket with another ball.
The cameraman seems careful to cut the top of the room out of the shot at all times too.
Even the teacher's ball was off screen for a while, although if that one was faked it was done a lot more convincingly. -

Registered 12 years agoWatched some of these last night. The look on Amir's face when Streeter took off the mask was priceless. -
Thanks for the bumping, I'd never heard of this. One of the most entertaining hours I've had in a long time
