Registered 9 years agoMatchmaking always pits you up against people near your level, unless you are in a premade group, then funny things can happen.
Oh, and to extend on Ranbir's last hit thing - you can auto attack, just pay attention and stop before minions start getting low so you can last hit things. I can push and get about a hundred last hits before teamfights on a decent game.
And Akali is fantastic, her ability to instantly change position several times is brilliant. Plus, since she can be rolled with AP items she'll just pick up survivability as you build her.

Registered 11 years ago2010 I posted this thread, only May 2011 does it start getting any attention. 
Not that as I'm big to praise it now- it has ridiculous server queues and far too many heroes for my liking. But the server queues appear to be being solved within the next fortnight or so. -
I've lost interest in this now - shame because the game itself is pretty good but...
A large proportion of the players are whiny cunts who don't know how to lose
The servers are down too much
Seems to only be 2 maps; a little variation would be nice even if they were only reskins. -

Registered 12 years agoHeh I've only played the 5v5 map, but still enjoying it just because the champion design is so good. Taking a liking to amumu may be making me biased though.
edit: also managed to play a 70-minute game due to my team not being on entirely the same page. -

Followed that link mate, played the tutorials, looks dangerously good. Emphasis on the danger. May make one more game of bots for myself and then get cracking with some co-op. That DOTA article really gave me a decent grip of the basics!!
