Dunno what it's like in the rest of the country but here in Bristol not only are there torrential floods of rain but the wind is off its tits blowing all over the place - loud banging noises, bins in the middle of the road, etc... anyone else?

Birmingham is currently under attack from torrential downpours and scary winds that are keeping both myself and my cats wide-eyed and alarmed. Bf is of course obliviousy asleep.

Ehm! my mate lost the side of her house in this bit on 'non exciting' weather!

It's a barmy 26 degrees here in sunny Nicosia BTW

    /smug bastard

Really, really windy last night - the wind was really howling around the outside of the house and all the bins were knocked over. This morning, sunny and crisp with barely a breeze.

I'm just up the road and apparently it was like that here last night... I slept right through it!

Pissing down here. On a related note... the weather channel on the Wii seems to think it should be sunny. Stupid weather forecasters.

Pretty windy up north today, I live by the sea & the wind blowing inland has to be at least 50mph+

Here in Dorset, not far from Weymouth, it's absolutely blowing a gale. It was massively windy all through the night - but calm and sunny in the morning. Since then it's become very windy again, with periods of bright sunshine and Satanic black gloom with heavy rain. Feels like the end of the world - in episodic form.

It's beautiful in Berkshire today, barely a cloud in the sky, a light breeze blowing. Most nice.

In Sheffield we've had insane amounts of wind every night for about a week. It's getting very tedious.

Overcast here with a light drizzle, air temperature around 10 degrees, breeze probably somewhere between four and five on the Beaufort scale. I wish I could give you all a more detailed assessment of the weather here, I feel that I have failed you.

South West Wiltshire had some crazy high winds last night starting from about half 11, 12.
I was half expecting the windows to blow in.

Very windy around York today and the Ouse river burst its banks last week and has flooded York once more. Typical crappy November weather all in all.

We're on our third week of gales here, had a day break from it yesterday mind. Went down to the beach the day before and got blown off my feet!

Living in exposed positions is fun and scary at the same time.

Where abouts are you skuzz? Was a nightmare getting off the IOW at 5.30am Monday morning, think it's been much the same since.

We keep getting massive downpours followed by gorgeous clear weather. Cycling every hour or so.

As a gardener growing a variety of a certain plant that needs certain weather conditions to improve its flavour, I find myself having to say...

I need some frost for my sprouts!

Tell me about it. Went out on a training ride Sunday when the heaven's opened and the wind nearly put me under a bus.

About a mile from the coast in Pembrokeshire (Newgale). We can see the sea and I think the gradual slope up to where we live means that the wind has no barriers. It's windy nearly all the time and it drives you nuts after a while. We now live in a park home (I am trailer trash :). By crikey, it's bloody noisy and it gets blown about. I've almost shit myself quite a few times during the last few weeks when there are really strong gusts.

What have we done? We used to have a nice house with bricks and everything.
