Been torrential rain and crazy wind for at least 3-4 days now in Edinburgh, getting sick and tired of it now!

To be fair you do have to know the right search parameters to get a hit if looking for an old thread.

Old? It's barely off the front page. Searching for weather would've found it.

It's bloody awful here in Glasgow, been raining and windy near-constantly for the past few days and a good chunk of last week too =/

No chance. The winds are insane, there are trees ripped up everywhere.

We had 80mph gusts of wind here (Donegal, Ireland) today. Power out for around 4 hours too. Lots of trees down on roads too. Not nice for driving in!

Been diverted along south side (Glasgow) because of trees up, or down depending on what you are talking about....

A few branches big enough to kill lying on the pavement outside my flat too. :-D

Weather appears to have settled somewhat on route to Glasgow but the traffic is insane. Barely moved.

Came across 3 very large road blocking branches within a mile of my house (southside Glasgow), every road is covered in leaves and wee branches - I think trees are designed to cope with heavy winds better when they have no leaves in the autumn. I've been worried about the large trees around my house for the first time....

29 degrees on Saturday, apparently. In October - practically Christmas! Have we ever had anything like this in the UK? Absolutely insane.

Loving the weather this week, almost makes up for the feeble summer (though not quite). Was out walking the dog in just a t-shirt at 7pm the last few evenings which is pretty impressive for late september.

Slightly irritated that I am stuck in the office though as I had planned to be on holiday in cornwall this week but had to cancel my plans due to some immovable deadlines at work. Every moment spent stuck in this windowless office is reminding me that I should be strolling along a cornish beach in the sunshine right now. Damn this crappy job and hurray that I got my redundancy notice last week and won't have to endure this torture for much longer.

I'm on a course today and tomorrow. It ends about 4:30pm, so I expect to be downtown with a cold beer in my hand at 5pm.

Large thermomenter on the news building outside work shows 27 degrees at the mo. Can't face going out for lunch but am wondering whether I'm going to ride or run the 10km home tonight :-)
