I've just decided to buy a 20 gb ipod and i have a small problem. I have the option to order either the latest version or the previous model. They both cost the same, the main difference is delivery time, 2-3 weeks for a new one and 1-2 days for the old model, and that you get hedphones with a remotecontrol and a bag for the old model.

Can anyone of you give any advice if the new model is worth the extra wait and the lack of remote control on the headphones.

Well, seems I have the "old" version, and I can safely say that the remote isn't very good. The 'pod itself is lovely, mind.

I don't know anything about the new model, tho - links?

    Who needs a bag?

I sure don't. To be honest it's mostly the the delivery time that's the main selling point for the old model. It would be nice to get it within a few days instead of a couple of weeks. So if the improvement between models is insignificant I might go for the old model.

    hab: here's a link

Well, they've fiddled around with the control system, it seems - it's bit different from the old ones. Try the iPodlounge or similar places for a `tech comparison?
