I've just decided to buy a 20 gb ipod and i have a small problem. I have the option to order either the latest version or the previous model. They both cost the same, the main difference is delivery time, 2-3 weeks for a new one and 1-2 days for the old model, and that you get hedphones with a remotecontrol and a bag for the old model. Can anyone of you give any advice if the new model is worth the extra wait and the lack of remote control on the headphones. |

Registered 20 years agoWell, seems I have the "old" version, and I can safely say that the remote isn't very good. The 'pod itself is lovely, mind.
I don't know anything about the new model, tho - links? -

Who needs a bag?
I sure don't. To be honest it's mostly the the delivery time that's the main selling point for the old model. It would be nice to get it within a few days instead of a couple of weeks. So if the improvement between models is insignificant I might go for the old model.

Well, they've fiddled around with the control system, it seems - it's bit different from the old ones. Try the iPodlounge or similar places for a `tech comparison?
