Registered 15 years agoHeh, tell you what I've been playing that Earn to Die game the last two nights. It's essentially a 2D Carmageddon meets Moon Patrol (with upgrades) and bloody fast once you fully upgrade.
It's stupid, childish and 9 fucking pence. I grinned whilst playing it. -

Registered 9 years agoBon jour fellow Eurogamers, just wanted to schill my brother's new game he made for Android (soon to iOS), Cubix Challenge -
It's a puzzler where you push around a metal cube around a wooden landscape in order to connect its light side with its final destination. And it's tricky. But addictive.
He's completed this game on his own, all graphic design, soundtrack and programming, without any of the family really knowing what he was up to. He's been into gaming from a really early age, tackling Basic to write adventure stories on the C64 and playing inordinate amounts of SEUCK, and has been wanting to do something like this for many, many years. So far it's hit the top 100 paid after a few days of release... thought I'd advertise it here as well in case any of you lot fancy scratching your noggins over a long train journey.

Registered 9 years ago@THFourteen I don't know where he's got the time to do it, either. He's got a young family and a pretty hardcore CGI job in the states yet still found time to produce this. And there's so many individually designed levels. My mind boggles. The fact he'd kept it a secret from everyone and just - POW - released it is crazy. I'm legit proud.
@DuaneW Cheers man! If you like it or have criticisms, review it. He's paying attention to anything anyone has to say. I find the movement a bit sticky on occasion but there's a trick to it - think of it as pushing the cube over and it's easier than just swiping over it. Unless he's changed the settings since first release (likely). -

Registered 6 years ago@itsoldsquarejaw Thanks for the post, brother of mine!
@DuaneW Thanks also for the purchase, I'll be adding additional level sets in the coming weeks and this weekend should (if my kids allow) see the integration of Google Play Achievements.
I would love to hear anyone's feedback on the game should they buy it! -

Registered 6 years ago@mikew1985 Though to some it may not read like a complement, I know EXACTLY what you mean! Thanks for the support. If you have time, be sure to review it on the store if you haven't already, and I'd be really interested in any feedback you have. Thanks again! -

Registered 14 years agoThe only complaint I'd have is that I'm an idiot and am finding it tough to three star everything but therein lies the allure of these games.
I'll pop a review up later today though when I've spent a bit more time with it, just to be as balanced as possible

Started playing this last night - it's good. It's also maddening that the game says you can finish a level in 5 moves, but you cannot figure out how to do it it under 7!

Registered 6 years ago@Flying_Pig thanks! There are definitely some doozies in there. The first set of additional levels will add a subtle change that will go against everything you've learned! -
@Alastair nah it's rock hard mate. Always was
