I wish he'd hurry up and do his Revenge of the Sith review
  • Deleted user 2 September 2010 09:40:11
    Hehe, ace review.

Although its a comedic review, the guy really understands film.
  • Deleted user 29 September 2010 21:11:50
I wonder if he'll be loads more impressed by this version:

It was NOT bad, it was in fact very, very good

If it was good I'd have liked it. We're talking about the review for the new Trek film, right?

Oh never mind, I meant the Attack of the Clones one. I haven't seen the new Star Trek film so haven't bothered with the review

It wasn't *bad*... it had many boring moments though, so comparatively speaking I guess it was.

Can't wait - RotS has plenty to tear into so there's no reason for this not to turn out well.

Given that Half in the Bag jizzed all over it in their review, I'm expecting something pretty positive. Which isn't as much fun as a takedown, unfortunately.

Still might give it a watch though.

The positive ones aren't bad reviews or anything. I just enjoy his negative reviews more.

Love the Plinkett reviews of the prequels. I agree with literally everything he says.

Nah I don't think I could watch it, I enjoy the film too much without having their watchful eyes ruining it :D

Yeah this, I'll still watch it and most likely enjoy it but It's always more fun bitching about something then praising it.

I haven't seen it for a while but I seem to remember he liked Star Trek a lot but used it to show how shit the Star Wars prequels are by comparison. Expecting much the same this time!

I love almost everything the guy puts out to be honest, even when I don't agree with him, so I'll definitely give it a watch.

Yeah that was ace. It compared the scenes where Kirk realises they're heading for a black hole (I think) and when Anakin realises Palpatine is the Sith Lord. The Star Trek scene is shot with so much urgency; characters shouting, panicking, camera shaking as it follow them from room to room, while in contrast the Star Wars scene has Anakin walking slowly up to Mace Windu, they talk in monotone in a standard shot/reverse shot camera setup, and then turn and walk away like they'd just discussed the wet weather rather than the most important point in the entire plot.

The explanation Plinkett came up with, rather convincingly, is that George Lucas couldn't be bothered to get up off his arse and do some directing.
