For playing games with. I had a cheapy wireless keyboard and mouse a couple of years ago but the input lag was massive, is it possible to get a wireless keyboard and mouse combo these days that just works? I'm also looking to not spend much money, and for the things I buy not have RAZ0R or F-2000SUPARG4M3R or anything like that written on them. |
Wireless keyboard/mouse recommendations?

Don't bother with wireless keyboard. Mouse is fine. The latest Logitech mouse that isn't the Air is fantastic and comfortable. It's no Razor for gaming (less comfort more SUPERSPEED) but it's so comfortable I love it. Unless you're playing Quake 3 it'll be fine.
Wireless keyboards in my knowledge suck ass. Input lag galore. -
Keyboard wise I have a microsoft ergonomic 4000 (normal keyboard started to hurt my hands) and that takes getting used to but is nice. -

Registered 19 years agoHmm, the point of getting them would be so I could sit further away from the screen, but if the keyboards still aren't up to much than it'll probably be better not to bother...
Thanks for the help! -

Registered 18 years agoI was looking at a similar setup a while back, mainly so I could control the internets while lying in bed and basically thought of going for a Microsoft combo - 5500 or something. Might've changed since then. I was going to keep my wired mouse for gaming and I can't stand wireless ones for that purpose. So, a sturdy combo for general usage, then a nice wired mouse for the killing. -

Registered 15 years agoCheck out the lovely di nevo cordless for laptops keyboard. It has a rubberised 'wrist' area. Very flat keyboard and little depth to the key press. Separate numeric pad and a 5 year guarantee. I've bought a couple of them now. Almost tempted to get another to use at work. Never had any problems with lag. The included mouse could be improved but good enough.
Board, numeric pad and mouse for £60. -

I don't dare buy a wireless mouse. I know I'd lose it almost instantly. A wireless keyboard might be an idea though. -

Registered 12 years agoI need a new wireless solution so that I can use my laptop when plugged into my TV and operate it from the sofa. Can anybody recommend a wireless keyboard with a built in mouse of sime kind?
Ideally I want a simple 'all in 1' solution, rather than a seperate keyboard and mouse, which I've found a bit too clumsy to use on a sofa, especially when lying down).
I've seen this Xebec wireless keyboard on eBuyer with trackpad and tiny USB dongle (perfect for a laptop).
I've been extremely disappointed with my previous Microsoft and Logitech wireless keyboard/mouse sets, both of which had a pathetic range of about 1ft, so steering clear of those two brands this time around. -

Registered 15 years agoFor small affairs there's the pulse-eight remote that has the keyboard and mouse pad on the underside. I heard there were some issues with it about a year ago so it might be worth checking out the xbmc forums.
If you after a larger keyboard there's the small frame keyboards such as the ocuk one. I've got a keysonic and it's rather shit as it repeatssssssssss keys. -

Registered 12 years agoThat ocuk keyboard looks pretty good, it has dedicated media functions and is £14 cheaper. I'm just not sure if a rollerball will be as easy to just pick up and use in anger compared to a touchpad. I just don't know.
Only thing is I was liking the idea of a tiny dongle (steady now) that I could keep plugged into my laptop and not notice it's there, which the Xebec that I posted has. It also recharges via USB and, according to reviews, lasts forever on one charge.
I did see this Keysonic keyboard with a trackball that has a small dongle. Reviews seem OK. Tough call. -

Registered 14 years agoI'm looking for a decent wireless keyboard, it will be used for some gaming but not that much.
I'm fully aware that wired is bette but it's not an option for me so does anyone have any wireless recommendations?
Range is key for me, my current Microsoft wireless keyboards range is pathetic and I've reached boiling point. I'll only be about 5 - 6 foot (more likely 3 foot the majority of the time) from the receiver (yes thats how bad the MS one is). I'm looking at some of the wireless Logitech jobbies but they seem expensive enough, the solar powered one looks nice but if there are cheaper comfy alternatives I'm all for it. -

Registered 14 years agoInterested in a new wireless set too. The cheapo mouse i have is fine but the keyboard is crap and seems to miss button presses when i get further than a couple of feet from the receiver.
Are bluetooth ones still available? Looked everywhere (well pc world, bit of a Google search...i got bored ok!
) but cant seem to find any.

Registered 12 years agoMy current wireless keyboard / mouse set is Logitech and it's terrible. Has a range of about 1ft. I'm not trusting Microsoft or Logitech again when it comes to PC peripherals.
I think I'm going to get the Xebec Diamond Keyboard with a touchpad, but for now I'm using the Android Unified Remote app to control my media on my TV. It works surprisingly well and is free.
Also, the Xebec keyboard is plug & play compatible with everything under the sun from the extensive reading I've done on it (Linux, PS3, Xbox, etc) and is rechargable, so no replacement batteries required.

I'm just slightly concerned about the almost laptop like look of the keys. -
