Cineworld card doesn't fully cover imax, you need to chuck in a few quid extra when you buy your ticket. Edited by CosmicFuzz at 14:19:31 05-02-2014 |

Registered 16 years agoTotal Film gave it 4/5.(The review's been taken down since this morning though)
Good action scenes, good acting from the main cast, with a story that's interesting and different enough from Verhoeven's that they don't really see the point in getting so wound up, when comparing it to the original.
I booked my Imax tickets last night, looking forward to catching it on Fri. -

Registered 20 years agoAye, I reckon Ima go see this next week too. I think it looks pretty good and I like the suggestions of where they have gone with the character.
Robocop is one of my all time favorites - it was the first R rated movie I saw in the cinema, amongst other notables - but I don't view it as sacrosanct. Not after 2 and 3. -

Registered 17 years ago2/5 in Empire. Reviews are mixed but most seem to be of the 3/5 variety. -

Seems that reviews from those who wanted to give the film a chance are positive, really liked Total Film's write up. I'm looking forward to it. -

Registered 17 years agoI've maintained the film, if given a chance, will be good.
I'm happy to hear, from the reviews I care about anyways, that that is the case. -

But then they go and stick this at the end of the article:

So, just to be clear... the reviews that you care about are the ones that reinforce your positive opinion of a movie you have not yet seen?

Registered 14 years agoIf the reviews are good enough I think I'll give it a chance. I doubt it will replace the original but, if good enough, it could exist alongside it.
The Empire review is pretty damning, though. That's generally the one I seem to agree with the most. -

Registered 17 years agoRead a funny thing about Verhoven this morning. He was in the frame to direct Return of the Jedi after Spielberg recommended him, after seeing Soldier of Orange. He then saw Spetters(?) and withdrew his recommendation.
They asked Verhoven about this and he said "Perhaps they were worried that the Jedi would start fucking."
Class.

Registered 16 years agoThe new RoboCop movie is, in part, about bad guys trying to remove the soul of their corporate property to make it a more reliable cash cow. I doubt it's deliberate but that part, at least, feels like satire.
Hehehe.
