| If it's that close then I'll wait for the new spec. I had a feeling it was April, which would have made me jump in now. |

Now the keynote for the year has been and gone I'm finally in the market for a new tablet. Just need to make the choice between a mini 4 and an Air 2. Purely down to form factor now, so off to the store tomorrow to have a tinker with them both.
I know I've asked for opinion on the mini before, but has anyone moved from the full fat one to the mini, or vice versa?
Oh, and what of the competition? I can honestly say I've never looked outside of the Apple tree. Are there better/comparable ones out there for better money? -

Registered 16 years agoI don't think there is anything better than an iPad. I have an air 2 and the titwoman has a mini - I love mine and I think the mini one is too small if you're just using it in the house etc. the air 2 is really thin and light anyway! -

Registered 16 years agoI moved from a full fat pre-air ipad to a mini.
Much prefered the form factor for commuting with.
Comics and magazines not as good on it but gaming is better. One handed operation in a case also easier
Altho this was before i used an air 2. -

Registered 14 years agoHaven't been able to use my Air 2 since me and the misses moved in together 4 months ago. She (we) like it that much. -
I'd be upgrading from a second gen iPad so I'm sure I'll enjoy the difference. Want to hand the other one down to the kids, which already has a bunch of apps on it, but would mean keeping my account on there which isn't ideal. -

Registered 16 years agoThink once you've installed the apps you can swith accounts. My wife uses my hand me down iPads and switches the account to hers so she can face time etc, but the installed apps don't dissapear. -

Registered 10 years agoI was recently given my first iPad (air2) as a surprise anniversary present. I wanted one for years but couldn't justify the price. It's fantastic and is the best surprise gift I've ever received. -

Registered 15 years agoI vastly prefer the mini's form factor to the big one. It's much handier and I find the smaller screen somehow more attractive. -

Registered 16 years agoI'm waiting to see how bad the multitasking is on the mini next week before deciding whether to buy a second hand air 2 when people get rid of them for pro models. -
iPad Air 2 a-go-go \o/
I blame my dad to be honest. He kept saying he wanted one so I took him to have a look at them, and as we walked out of the store Apple with almost £1,000 richer. -

On the US website a fully loaded iPad Air 2 costs $829, which is £659 in the UK.

So if the 32Gb iPad Pro is $799 over there, that should translate to £629 ish I reckon. -

Registered 10 years agoIt's nice, especially on the iPad. Dig the new system font. Also brings support for content blockers à la Ad Block ("Peace" seems to be good).
But the best thing is the side-by-side apps (only on the iPad Air 2 and the yet-to-be released iPad mini 4 and iPad Pro) and the slide-over feature (quickly slide in iPhone-sized variants of apps from the right side).
Also the keyboard has some new features, like buttons in the suggestion bar and enabling cursor mode by placing two fingers on it.

Registered 18 years agoThe pop out video player is pretty cool, and it works fine on the original iPad Air. Wish you could make it a bit bigger though - making it the width of the screen in portrait would be great to have while running Safari (unless you can do something similar with newer hardware?) -

Any one tried the new ad-blocker that seems to have shot up the sales charts?
