It's interesting that the 2nd Advance Wars game on DS and Madworld on Wii still haven't been released in Japan.

A Xenosage remake already? Why? It's only a last generation game!

It is very good though, I've only finished the first one but I loved it. Will need to move onto the second one soon.

It needs to be remade into its original 6-episode form, which should probably mean starting from episode I again. On the other hand, IIRC episodes I and II were paced according to schedule, and then episodes III-VI were all crammed into the third game, with loads left out.

I think.

Well, the original project was probably bordering on nuts anyway - it was very ambitious. But I loved the games so much, now I'd just really like to see how it was originally meant to pan out :-(

Incidentally, don't let the second one put you off completing the 'trilogy' - it's rubbish compared to the first, especially in terms of combat, but by the end of it I was quite sucked into the Rubedo/Albedo/Nigredo story, and it was a nice side-tracking. Then the third game goes all mentalcrazyawesome, well worth putting up with the second for.

Ok cool, I'll have to start looking for a US copy soon. Can't believe that only part 2 came out over here, how they expected it to sell is beyond me.

I'm sure I'll love the second one, the sci fi stuff was so cool in the first, I'm a sucker for space opera stories

Don't play PAL Episode II if you can avoid it, the conversion is wank. It has nice cutscenes and they're crippled on the PAL copy. I sold it and imported.

The second's not that bad, but I loved the combat/tech system in the first game, and it's totally different (and shit) in the second. At least you get proper AGWS battles (at least I think you do... maybe that's Ep. III) though. Plus you meet Jin, who kicks ass.

Anyway, back on topic... I wonder if Xenoblade is related in the same tenuous way as Xenosaga was to Xenogears?

Mm, yum. There's a definite air of Baiten Kaitos about that backdrop! Let's hope the gameplay has more to do with Xenosaga than that horseshit though.
