@RyanDS I've been using the Brave browser for a week now and it's really good.

Sorry, I thought you were trying to block ads.

Fuck you. I am not a moron and was asking for serious help.

Also thank you, that did actually work. Turns out I am a moron.

Do we have a general Android Smartwatch thread anywhere? Anyone got the Galaxy Watch or Active? Having trouble deciding which one to get.

I don't think there's a thread for that. I'm kind of tempted getting some kind of step counting / pulse metering thing myself.

Android smartwatches seems to be a bit of a black hole though. The people I know who wanted fitness tracking opted for Garmins instead

I want something that's a smartwatch first and quite versatile in terms of looks, the fitness stuff is just a bonus. All the reviews seem to suggest that the fitness tracking on the Galaxy watches at least is pretty decent.

21:9 is a fantastic aspect ratio for a phone. Films look great (even with the rather big hole punch of the One Vision) naturally, but since everything nowadays it's a feed it's a very convenient format throughout.

I hope 21:9 catches on so that my next phone, in two years time, will have it as well.

I have an Amazfit Bip. Cost about £40 and is a fantastic Pebble replacement.

I have the galaxy watch and do like all the fitness stuff for it. I've always been a bit dubious of smart watches but I really like mine.

Got a feeling I might have fried my Pixel 3a. Accidentally left it in the sun for about 3 mins at the weekend and it overheated and turned itself off. Left it to cool down, seemed fine. Now seems to restart once or twice a day, citing overheating, despite not being remotely hot or even in use. Grrrr.

Oh definitely. If it continues I'll give them a bell. Seems a fairly regular issue with Pixels but seemed too coincidental as there were no issues before

Android 10 being rolled out to Pixels as we speak. Haven't had a proper play yet but of course switched to the dark theme straight away

Will be interesting to see how long it will take to reach my Android One phone. I did appreciate that I could install some of the features from the appstore.

That live transcribe and the rather shit Sound Amplifier to be specific.

Yet no sign of Pie for my LG V30, even though half the posts on the V30 subreddit are full of screenshots of people downloading it.

Never buying LG again. Software updates are released at a glacial pace.

Barclays mobile app had a message saying it isn't compatible with Android 10. That's a bit of a problem to be honest. 🤔

Anyone upgraded to Android 10 on Pixel 2?

I upgraded on my pixel 3a and it seems to have, touch wood, cured the very annoy bug that cause the phone to brick itself when going into a deep sleep.

Overslept by 90 minutes a few weeks ago thanks to that...

Luckily, I keep my own hours, so it turned into an impromptu work from home day, but it was a pain in the having to reschedule a few meetings.

Fine for me, been using it since the Beta.

Like that it warned me the other evening my battery was lower than usual and wouldn't last to the morning alarm, smart feature.

Still hasn't fixed EG constantly freezing in Chrome mind. Might be Android 20 before they can help devs who can't help themselves.
