I'd join in if it wasn't so expensive to buy the arm band version cause I need to buy trainers and tracky bums too.

Do you mean the Nike+ Sportband? My brothers' got one of those and hes doesn't think much of it.

It would be better to buy the cheapest iPod Nano you can find. Maybe a old 2nd hand one.

Well just joined the gym again so need me some new trainers so I look a twit at the gym with new gear on, some of the bigger boys might stamp on em.

any way got some Nikes today and have a hole for a + thinging in them so I ordered a my Nike band from Wiggle.co.uk. Should show up in a few days. I will be running to the gym and then doing weight training while there. Maybe and little sit in the Jacuzzi. mmm bubbles.

I have an old Nano 4th Gen (I think, it's the one before the horrible fat ones). Might be up for sale if you're interested?

How does it know how far you've gone? I only ask as I've a friend on Facebook who keeps posting links to his profile on the Nike site showing how far he has run and in what time. I'm not sure I trust it though because he's morbidly obese. Well maybe not morbidly, but he's definitely a fatty.

Well it's pretty accurate, especially after you calibrate it(assuming you correctly calibrate it!).

Yeah.

Best way to look at it is it's a pedometer for the 21st century!

The main selling point for me is the online stats, challenges and goals. It really helps my stay motivated.

I think they're fakes, of a supposed Nike+ app for the iphone. Look pretty cool though.

Hmm, just wondering what to use then really. I have a 3rd gen Nano that I prefer to jog with, but also have a Touch.

I use my touch but thats because I didn't want to outlay for the extra receiver and armband for the nano(already had a touch armband). I find the touch is grand for running with.
