Easy 8 used to have the earnings of a premium tank -and- it was a blast to play. But then they nerfed its earnings by 50%. ;-; All tier 5 tanks are monster money makers, you should stick with them unless you plan to purchase a tier 8 premium. |

Registered 18 years agoYeah the nerf made me not play it nearly as much. Still a decent earner though!
I still maintain that alot of the T6 stuff is really good for credits but you do need to play them well. Even some T7 stuff is great - The T20 being a good example.
Just glad I did the T34 grind

Registered 12 years agoYeah unless I suffer a horrendous loss I still often make 20-40k Credits in the IS.
I know the KV is a money maker but by god can I not stand to play it after playing the IS.

Registered 12 years agoAnyone else hate the Malinovka and El Halluf maps?
I think it's the way the encourage camping that puts me off them, think they're the worst maps in the game.

Registered 13 years agoDragon Ridge is better than a bunch of the old maps.
They are however REMOOOVIIING
Komarin and Swamp.
Komarin, aka "Well, either this is over in 2 minutes or 15 minutes."
Swamp, aka "Well, there's six heavy tanks hiding behind a mountain watching two medium tanks try to keep the enemy out of the town. GG."
I'd like to see Malinovka go, but it is -way- less bad than Komarin. -

Registered 12 years agoI rarely play either of those maps to be fair, especially Swamp, get it like once in every 20-25 matches.
just another 28k XP to go for the IS-3 but I'll be grinding out the 44k XP for the big gun...

Registered 13 years ago: D But the BL-9 is amazing! I mean, too bad the IS-3 has the armor and HP of a medium tank, but it has a good gun. >_> -

Registered 12 years agoYeah why I want to build up enough free XP to unlock it before I even buy the tank, mind you not that I've got the cash for it straight away, need another 1 million credits to buy it now that the IS-3 is researched, went a bit mental on the grinding front. -

Registered 13 years agoIS-3 is great.
The IS-8 is a little meh, so be prepared. It's got all the same problems, but they are exacerbated because the armor doesn't scale nearly as well. But then you get the IS-7, which is like a T95 with a turret that goes 40 KPH.
...and I wish I was joking.
On the subject of the T95, I just had a few good games in it. First game, I covered a flank and ended up eliminating a VK4502P and an M103 with little support, then the next game there was no artillery. And a bunch of TDs. A 704, T-54 and myself attacked south, stomped on the meds that approached us, then I charged the enemy base and took the full magazine of an AMX 50 120 and an AMX 13 75 without damage. Someone said I was 'screwed' because I was treaded, but they didn't know I was letting myself remain treaded because I was angled so heavily in comparison to the shooter, making my 'weakpoints' invincible.
Then the 704 ninja'd behind the enemy line like it is apt to do and put a 155 mm shell in the AMX 120's butt, so I fixed my treads, rolled around the corner and put the 120 down with my own gun.
edit: holy jebus, they might make Tier 10 mediums able to have APDS rounds for -credits- instead of gold, and let them also buy HEAT rounds for gold.
This is beautiful.

Registered 12 years agoIn order to make credits and because two friends owned one, I picked up the Churchill.
Dear god I love this tank, yeah it's got very favorable matchmaking (always top tank) but the level of armour and the speed of the gun is hilarious, sure other guns have more alpha but by the time a KV-1 has fired his 122mm I've fired off about 6-7 shots.
Thanks to the preferable matchmaking it's making me both credits and XP at an enormous rate.
If the Churchill is a sign of things to come for the British tanks, I'll definitely be saving my free XP once I've got my IS-7 (if they don't come out before that) to heavily invest in the British line. -

Registered 13 years agoI am so excited for british tanks, but mostly only the mediums.
I have a churchill myself. Fun little tank. Can't rely on the armor, but that gun rips people to shreds.
edit: We can't forget that the KV-2 being split from the KV was a massive improvement for the Churchill's odds.

Registered 12 years agoActually that reminds me, with the introduction of the British tank line, I'm assuming the Valentine, Matilda, Ram-II and Churchill will all be removed from the store.
So should I keep my stock Churchill when the British tanks come out since I imagine the non-stock version will be quite a bit better. -

Registered 18 years agoThey won't be taken off the store as they are Russian 'Landlease' versions.
The British Churchill when elite will be a better version of the one you have right now. -

Registered 12 years agoOh yeah it makes sense, obviously it means the shop one may lose out on the XP and credit farming it can do now since it'll be going up against fully upgraded Churchills...though the store bought one is very favorably weighted to either be the top tier tank or fighting tier 6s at a maximum.
I'll probably keep it though and have the proper version as well.
Especially since I have an absurd win rating of 58% with it and the Ace Tanker mastery thing.
Also had trouble with the American Tier 5 heavy tank (seemed to bounce the 6 pounder quite a lot) until I got close and discovered there's a certain spot on the front of them that seems to offer no protection and just proceeded to hit that.

Registered 13 years agoThey'll likely remove the Matilda, Valentine and Churchill. They did the same with the German captures of French equipment.
I think the Ram-II will make it through, but it might be rebranded as a british tank.
The proper Churchill will however have a fairly large derp cannon. Probably not the one it used in real life(flying dustbin ftw) but likely a 120 or a 130, which isn't bad. Plus, the British TD tree will end in a 183 mm turreted autoloader if the devs are nice.
The Tortoise will likely have a 120mm cannon as its top gun, I don't think the british used a howitzer of sufficient caliber on any tanks? -

Registered 13 years agoYeah, and the devs really don't care. They've created guns from thin air before. The Patton and E-50 both mount fantasy-cannons.
And the entire T25/2 is fantasy. -

Registered 12 years agoEntered the dreaded VK3001P now...
God this tank is a pile of ass, incredibly slow to pick up speed and turn, terrible armour, considered Tier 6 for some ungodly reason when a KV-1 is Tier 5.
The jump from VK3001P to Tiger P will be frankly amazing, hell that thing has 200mm frontal armour a gun with 200mm pen, decent alpha and good aiming time.
So the problem has become, do I research all the things on the VK in order to make things easier on the Tiger (the two engines are shared between the VK and the Tiger P) or do I skip this dross of a tank and go straight for the Tiger P and grind out the engines there? -

Registered 13 years agoAlways research the german Maybach engines, since they are shared by virtually all the tanks(except for a few highly notable exceptions).
Also, the VK3001P gets better as it gets more elite. It also will hit its top speed, so it rams like a boss if you can engage smaller tanks. And the short 8.8 isn't -that- bad, it just takes finesse to use.
>_>
At least you aren't in the VK3001H. It has all the problems of the 3001P, but it has no armor, a front mounted transmission and a goliath ammo rack. -

Registered 13 years agoYeah, VK3601H is a boss. I wish it had a real heavy tank gun and not the little pea-shooter.
I also just elited my T95. : D Oh hi E-75, would you like 900 DAMAGE TO THE FACE!? -

Registered 12 years agoWow is it just me but since they closed down Clan Wars has there been an increase of assholes?
Seriously gone from 1 game in 10 having some mouthy little shite to getting one every other game. -
Yup, was an E-50 who charged across the field in Malinovka.
Edit:
Gah for some reason I keep being paired with teams who are completely fucking clueless on my IS-3 (yes the heavily armoured E-75 should all go protect the bridge where the other team rarely makes a full push, I'll take my lightweight armoured self into the city and end up figting a KV-5, a Tier 9 tank destroyer, another IS-3 and an IS-7 with just a fucking T-50 for backup, it's not like you saw me moving towards the bridge being the fastest heavy there...oh no).
I know I shouldn't worry about stuff like win-rating but when my top tank has a win rating of 40% while a tank I loathe somehow has a win rating of 50%+...kind of starts to get on your nerves.
