EIGHTEEN D'S
PICROSSING THROUGH TIME -
Yeah, I've pretty much had enough of 3D and it's technically not even here yet. -

The fact that it's a new handheld is enough for me. Hopefully they aren't using the "3D" angle to short change us on the visuals. I want this bugger to launch with Wind Waker! -

Seems odd for Nintendo to show their hand so early and with such a terse statement. Don't they only tend to do this if they're anticipating a competitor announcement that they wish to spoil?
Yeah, I thought that was incredibly weird too. Aren't Nintendo usually super-secretive about this sort of thing? E3's still months away. -
Eh, surely it can't be 3D on both screens, just the top one. It would be real awkward trying to touch something in 3D. -

I look forward to people screaming on buses as they dodge 3D balls.

Registered 16 years agoGod dammit Nintendo you were doing so well. You'd almost gone a month without announcing a new DS. -
I wonder if this will require 4 metres of free space to view? -
Hehe.
I'd be very interested in the specs of this, wonder if Sony have anything to counter it? -

I'd love that. Although I'd love a portable GameCube too. -
They'd do something completely retarded though like region lock it and make it impossible to get the games on it other than downloading them. -

Sony are into 3D technology even more than Nintendo. Surely they wont leave it out of the PSP 2?
Which is why I think this short statement must be a spoiler for some PSP related news. Like when they rushed out the Motion Plus announcement because they thought everyone else was going to announce motion controls the next day. -

Interesting thought. I fully expect the PSP2 with bundled 3D goggles to be announced this afternoon, then.

A battery the size of the moon. -
DS-compatibility. -
Built-in vitality sensor! -
This thing needs good analog control, surely. I'm hoping Nintendo can come up with something better than the PSP's shitty nub.
