" Android’s biggest release yet, with more than 5,000 new APIs for developers, new battery-saving features, better multitasking, and a brand new visual language called 'Material Design.' "
I have been using the new 'material design' thanks to CM11 themes and it is rather lovley althourgh havent actually tried Lollipop yet so not sure if i will like the new pull downs for example. My Honor 6 was dispatched the other day so i imagine the first thing i do will be find a stock lollipop rom and shuck it on. Thats assuming i hate the Emotion UI but you never know. -

The only way to fix the lag issue on the first n7 is a factory reset. The problem happens if you get low on storage space. It isn't fixed by freeing up the space. Seemed like a hardware issue.

I have had it on the first gen N7 for a few days after a manual flash. It does become borderline unusable at times.

Most problems are fixed by disabling all animations in the developer settings. Also keep the stock launcher and disable a lot of the notifications. -

Registered 18 years agoFor general performance I guess, I never had a problem with that. Only the specific, reproducable issue described above.
I tried it on 3 different devices and it was always the same (reset, fill storage and it slows to a crawl, delete files and it's still crawling, reset and it's fine again). -

Registered 8 years agoJust read only the WiFi versions of nexus 7 are getting lollipop first, if you have a cellular version, no date has been released for the update, seems to be last in the queue!
At least that might mean the bugs will have been ironed out by the time mine gets its update. -

Registered 17 years agoWent for a factory reset after all, and now my 1st Gen N7 is charging properly and zipping along by comparison to pre reset - nowhere near as slick as my N5, but a lot better.
Worth the plunge. -

Registered 18 years agoGoogle Calendar for Android adds a 7 day view
I'm only ever using the Schedule view but then I rarely book any meetings. (So I don't have to hunt for open slots)
With pinch to zoom as well I guess this s great news though.
As an aside I'm very pleased with how Google automatically added my holiday plans by sucking info from the flight and Airbnb bookings straight into the calendar.
Looks great in both Inbox andCalendar.
If anyone is looking for an invitation to inbox I've got some to spare. -

Got this problem with my nexus 4. It's been like this for awhile so having to use another photo app until it gets fixed. I've back dated to stock and that causes other issues with the camera not working at all.
Anyone else have this problem?
Edit: seems tapping the screen before taking a picture sorts it out for some reason.
