Welcome to a blatant selling thread :)

I'm selling my Panasonic Lumix TZ5 if anybody is interested or knows somebody who might be? Mint condition with Sandisk 2gb SD card, official Panasonic leather-look case, spare Uniross battery, boxed with all disks, cables, manuals etc. £120 + postage. Bought as a refurb and it has a US charger with UK adapter. Thought I'd ask here before getting shafted on fees by ebay and paypal! Great camera with whopping 10x zoom Leica lens, starts nice and wide at 28mm. Lovely high-res screen too.

Thanks for reading this advertisement :)

I take it the S90 viewing went well then? :)

Sadly it never happened though a guy I work with is bringing his in tomorrow. To be honest I'm already sold after so many good reviews and a brief play in John Lewis.

Looking at them both, why are you changing? The picture quality on the S90 must be astronomically better (thus make the Lumix an undesireable camera) for you to be happy to lose all that zoom.

I'd really love a tiny pocket P&S with a big zoom and great picture quality, but you've kinda put me off a bit.

There's a bit of that, but the TZ5 still takes good pictures for a compact. As I understand it, the s90 also has better controls than pretty much any other compact on the market.

The S90 has full manual controls which I'd like for various reasons, and I rarely use the long zoom on the TZ5 so to me it makes sense to change. And I like getting new toys once in a while :)

I've taken plenty of photos I'm really pleased with using the TZ5 and it's by far the best compact I've used of it's kind. Hope that clarifies a bit more.

I've been playing around with the Nikon P90 lately, it's a nice little camera actually and the zoom on it is pretty impressive.
