    That footage was indeed fantastic. However, when showing it to my youngest he asked how, considering the amount of money spent on getting to Mars, did they not spend a little more on clearer mics for the ground team!

    There's a bunch of sky crane pictures on there that are much clearer, but I especially love this gritty one where it's flying off after a job well done, umbilical cord dangling underneath it.
    Looks proper sci-fi.

    Just glad it all worked OK. It must be an absolute gutter when something like this fails after you have worked on it for so long.

    Fingers crossed for JWST.

    Oh god if the JWST doesn't work I think even I will cry! That things been delayed more than Duke Nukem Forever!

    Not just the time, but the cost !

    You could buy 3 of those Mars rovers for the price of JWST, and have enough change to build the largest telescope on the planet ever (ELT).
