I think the teletubbies should be dropped on an island Battle Royale style, along with barney, ronald macdonald, big bird, the cast of eastenders, dale winton and the royal family. let carnage commence :p

Nah... Teletubbies are excellent - believe me, if you've got small kids, they're a godsend.
They teach them that using drugs isn't necessarily a bad thing as long as you live with giant rabbits and ponce around with a handbag, time for tubby bye bye!

I like the way they ditched the sets and now it is all done on green screen, it must cost about a hundred quid an episode, i wonder how much money they are raking in?

Everybody remember their first exposure to Teletubbies, when the 'learning' component was stressed less and you were treated to a series of seemingly random craziness.

Big baby sun, Teletubby with enormous handbag, Giant White Rabbit, Rabbit vanishes, Teletubbies start dancing while living vacuum cleaner 'polishes' purple goo.

Definitely the product of a focus group full of ickle babies armed with crayons :)

...is red. Red. Not purple. Tinky-Winky himself is purple. People keep getting this wrong.

    OK?!?

The Tellytubbies are brilliant at gender mainstreaming. Tinky-Winky and Dipsy are male, but their Favourite Things are respectively a red patent leather handbag and a large dalmatian spotted hat. Laa-laa and Po are female, but their Favourite Things are a large orange ball and a scooter. Fantastic role models for the 21st Century.

    edit - linkage

    edit2 - further evidence
