Not sure if I'll have any hearing left afterwards mind, but figure it'll be worth it to hear ace of spades live -
MF DOOM tonight, I'm going in with very low expectations. -

I heard he used to use imposters for some live shows! -
He did for some US shows a couple of years ago. Then when he played London back in March he sent on a obvious imposter for the first song as a joke.
In the footage I've seen from the European dates earlier in the year it is very obviously him. -

Registered 10 years agoGoing to see Helloween in a couple of weeks. Anyone seen them recently? Kepper of the Seven Keys is one of my favourite all time albums, but their recent "reimaginings" have been a bit crap. -

Leftfield on tour right now, am seriously considering a return to my youth.
Has anyone ever seen Derren Brown live? He's on tour next year, and I am curious. -

Well, that's what I've been telling everybody for the last 16 years. Find an age you like and stick with it, I say!
Because of Rush's age, and the infrequency with which they visit these shores, the last few times they've been over, I've dragged Mrs Boo to both nights at Wembley 'just in case it's the last time they're here'.
With only one night at the o2, I'm tempted to try and grab tickets for one of the other nights. We could stay with my in-laws and go to the Manchester show.
Trouble is, the prices are mental.
Last time round, 2 tickets x 2 nights at Wembley, plus a couple of shirts, a badge and a program came to something like £300.
Still - they're worth it.
Heard the single, Caravan? Sounds great - presumably something left over from the Snakes And Arrows sessions, as it could have come straight off that album. -

A Farewell To Kings, Grace Under Pressure, Moving Pictures and Permanent Waves should let you know if you'll like them or not

It IS expensive, but OMG worth it this time out. I might try for another gig too - my mum lives in Bolton, so I could stay with her and fly back from Manchester

The new album is sounding like a winner, going by the two new tracks that play on the site - Caravan is one of the two. -

Registered 15 years agoSounds like you like the earlier stuff. I came in at GUP, then started working backwards and forwards.
I quite like the earlier stuff, but (whisper it) don't actually go a bundle on 2112!! If the house was on fire, and I could only save one, I'd have to grab Power Windows - love that album.
Then again, Roll The Bones, Hold Your Fire, Counterparts & SAA would all come close.
Hope they're still doing the 'play the whole of Moving Pictures' thing when they get here. -

Definitely more about the earlier stuff, but all of their albums have stuff I like -

Maybe... but then again I did have ~5 years of constant exposure to them as a teen in the 80s and we never clicked. I liked the music a lot (epic guitar!) but it's the vocals that never captured me, same with Journey and Yes.
