I just noticed that photos displayed horizontaly and vertically have different ratios in that ones displayed vertical are thinner. Can anyone else check their LR and see if it's the same? If not then I never realised that my laptop monitor might not be displaying true x&y ratios (if that's the correct terminology). I have a dell xps with a 1900x1200 screen. |

Registered 19 years agoAre you measuring it on screen or going by the metadata shown in LR? The vertical shots appear thinner in mine, but then they are also shorter so that makes sense.
Have you tired rotating a photo to see if its ratio changes? -

Yeah cheers, if it's a normal thing then I'm not bothered too much but if I take a lot of vertical composed shots so would have prefered them not to be visually squashed.
Shit, I'm defintaly not telling my wife this. She is paranoid enough without me going "the screen shows shots thinner than they actualy are you."
