Having argument with Zavvi on Twitter over "pre-order" vs "pre-purchase":

@zavvi Trying to use 10% off code with Guild Wars 2 CE, but it's not being recognised; code says no pre-orders, but this is pre-purchase.

@YenRugAP Guild Wars 2 is still a pre-order, it is only the beta that is being released when you make the purchase.

@zavvi But am I not making payment at time of ordering? I am purchasing the product now, even if the item ships later, according to ArenaNet

@YenRugAP We are taking payment for the pre-orders when we send the beta code out. The item will then ship later on when released. Thanks.

Seems the pre-purchases are somewhat limited. They official site ran out of codes earlier (although more have appeared) and the FAQ has been updated to confirm there is a limited amount.. Probably to limit the amount of users in the beta.

If you're on the fence, you might want to decide soon.

I've decided to give the pre-purchase a miss, Sure the Beta would have been nice but I'd rather wait for the actual game - and as for a 3 days head start I think I can live without it..*

*will regret this decision in the future

Nope. Same as Play. Its a code in a box that covers beta, early access and the actual game.

I did try support requests, but seeing as it took them the best part of 2 days to answer is how I ended up trying Twitter. As to the answer, well, for some reason my request got submitted twice, here's what I asked:

You can resume the download but the progress bar goes back to 0 and only counts the files you don't already have.

I was slightly pissed before I realised that when I stopped the download at 11GB and it resumed on 0%.

The % bar was totally inaccurate through the whole download. If you stop and resume the download, it will say it's back at 0% but won't actually have to download all the files again.

@WinterSnowblind It did look off. The rate it was going at first I thought it was about 20GB to download, turned out to be around 13GB.
