Please don't sign your contract extension Arsène. In the nicest possible way, it's time for you to go and let somebody else take it from here.

Why would he go? Lots of cash in the bank and shareholders very happy.

He doesn't need to go, just run his contract down and not renew it. Please. I don't care about 8 yrs without a trophy, most clubs spend more time than that without winning anything. It's the lack of progress that gets me. Always go for the same type players in the transfer market, same formations, same tactics, same patterns everywhere you look.

Did the better Arsenal teams play the exact same way as the current ones?

I remember them passing and moving a lot better but maybe just better players and rose tinted.

Arsenal will be a mid table team without Arsene unless they spend big bucks.

I just watched Müller being interviewed on Swiss telly and he came across as a top guy, good sense of humour, honest and modest. How can he be playing for Bayern?

Older Arsenal teams had that physical presence as well. Had the flair but could mix it up physical as well.

No, they didn't. They played with a much quicker tempo, much more off-the-ball movement (we are so static off the ball), a player just behind the striker and two wingers who were real goal threats, even when Ray Parlour played on the wing for the odd game.

The players aren't that bad, they're really not, they just don't seem to be able to play as a unit at all. No movement, no connectivity, no chat, most of the time no passion or drive. We just amble through games and come out at the end looking stunned no matter what way it's turned out.

We didn't even play that badly tonight. They're just infinitely better than us. Jack was great, Rosicky added drive and purpose when he came on. Otherwise, every player was at their natural level - nowhere near Bayern's.

That's why he needs to go. Somebody needs to look at the personel with fresh eyes, and spend to fix the many areas that need fixing. Wenger isn't the man to do that. Can't see the forest for the tree and all that.

if current trajectory continues, even with him we'll be there.

Arsenal won't go anywhere with Wenger IMO. Too many poor defenders and strikers for big money.

Don't get me wrong, Wenger's still a great manager, coaching a currently top 5 side in arguably Europe's best league. But we're getting ever diminishing returns, and he seems blind to all of the current problems and issues. Either that or something else is holding us back, but I think it is just down to him who we sign or don't sign, how we set up shop in every game and so on.
He's been in this job too long now, is all.

None of them are poor to start with. That's the real issue. And also why we need somebody new.

Theres literally half a dozen managers I could think of off the top of my head, especially if they continue to pay ludicrous managers salary.

Also, any other manager they get will insist on an end to the current transfer policy so its win/win
