Didn't jose say he'd quit if he won nothing?

He said winning nothing over a 3-4 year period though and he's hardly a man of his word.
I'm sure United would have him.

Well, even if it was, just evens it up from the bitter every-other-supporter spewing bile in the other thread

...I'm so fucking happy at last nights result :) just call me Pharrell

"Chelsea's John Terry left tearful after Champions League exit"

The gift that just keeps on giving.

Mourhino fucking deserved that last night, after his frankly boring and unsporting performances of the last few weeks. He's made some very big games into total borefests that Pullis in his Stoke time would have been proud of.
How have Chelsea been unsporting in the last few weeks?

Also, IMO the game against Liverpool wasn't boring. I imagine a lot of neutrals would feel that way too.

Stating the obvious time but; the two Madrid teams were really fantastic in those final two away games weren't they?! Absolutely brilliant results and done with some style.

I think it's fair to say they are the two best teams in Europe at the moment, you couldn't say there was anything lucky about their respective paths to the final. Great stuff really.

    Bye Hazard.
    Can't say I don't blame you.

Wonder what's Roman's view on all lf this? Ugly football like last time, but this time with no trophies.

Hazard can flirt with PSG all he wants, he's not going there this year.

Chelsea would quite rightly demand daft money and PSG, with the FFP spotlight firmly on them, can't be spunking money left right and centre.

Unless they offset it by selling Cavani or Lucas.

Edit: that's also a very small part of a quote. He goes on to say that "Chelsea are setup to counter like Real Madrid".

    No posts?!

The big news is that Costa makes it.

For Real, Benzema is on the bench and the just-fit-again Khedira starts ahead of Illaramendi. Bale is up front.

Got a feeling Atletico might just do it, you know. By all accounts the Real players were a bag of nerves in the press conference (tenth European Cup and that), while the Atletico lot were overflowing with confidence.

And I guess one of the many subplots tonight is Ancelotti managing for his job tonight. Third and a lost final to Atletico? They've sacked managers for less.

    Benzema makes it after all!

Real Madrid team: Casillas, Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Coentrao; Khedira, Modric; Ronaldo, Di Marķa, Bale; Benzema

LINEUP: @Atleti: Courtois; Juanfran, Godin, Miranda, Filipe Luis; Gabi, Tiago, Koke, Raul Garcia; Villa, Diego Costa. #UCLfinal

So is the first times since United played Chelsea that two sets of fans from the same city have faced each other in a CL final?

Given that he nearly scored a hat trick the last time they were on ITV (i.e the last time you would have watched them) it's not that strange to be honest.

Atletico had a great season but I can't see past Real if Ronaldo and Bale hit top form then Real won't lose. Real already knocked them out of the spanish cup this season. My bet is Ramos 1st goal strange as it seems.
Just remember, there's no easy games at this level. It'll be end to end stuff. Probably at least six of one, with more or less half a dozen of the other. A game of two haves you might say. They'll both set out their stalls that's for sure. I know what your mean about Ramos. He's good with his feet for a big lad. Hope he does score early because the game will need a goal. It's a funny old game.

Some fantastic guff from them so far.

Chiles on Alonso visiting: "He came in, got his pecker up..."

Keane on England's chances, in front of Gerrard: "I think they'll struggle"

And Lee Dixon discovers a new talent: "Put together a player willing to work so hard with his level of skill and you get Christian Ronaldo"

Big shout to RTE for this as well:

Dunphy: "Khedira is a bit of a donkey, not to be dismissive of him."

    Classic Dunphy.
