Been playing gears judgement and forgot how fun that was. Bullet storm has the same or better satisfaction.

I used pesworld mate. Seems decent enough.

I like Yakuza zero but finding yakuza kiwami not as fun to play. Just finished chapter 3 and that chapter was awful, hopefully it gets better. Bulletstorm was fun to replay through again

@Darth_Flibble I've been enjoying Kiwami so far (up to chapter 5). Almost comical how similar it is to Zero, though. Actually, didn't Zero have a chapter almost exactly the same as Kiwami's Ch3?

    @ardamillo

Thankfully Chapter 4 is where I started enjoying the game, it actually feels more like zero know. Never finished zero as RDR2, GoW and spiderman got in the way but I don't zero had terrible chapter as 3. There is one bit where you have kick down a wall and it looks like ps2 game not a remade game

I'm not really getting on with Kiwama. It's just weird and the combat feels odd. Also everything is resolved by beating someone half to death. I'm not going to Japan.

Glad I kept with the game, as enjoyed it once getting past chapter 3.

The Yakuza series is all about resolving problems by beating someone half to death. I smacked someone over the head with a bike then jumped on the bike while this geeky stalker was underneath.

One sub story was funny, there was a brother and sister. I beat up the brother who turned out to be a girl, so I then beat up the sister because she was really a man.

PSPlus sub running out and deals seem poor this year. Anyone seen anything better than 12 months for 39.99? I was hoping with Black Friday weekend being renewal date some decent deals would appear...

37 is the best I've found so far.

Buy 40 worth of topups then buy direct from PSN.

    36.24 here https://www.electronicfirst.com/buy-playstation-network-cards/40-playstation-network-psn-pre-paid-gift-code-uk/

36.99 here, but they have discount codes on FB for the first purchase. https://www.cdkeys.com/playstation-network-psn/psn-cards/playstation-network-psn-card-40-gbp

It would actually be cheaper to buy 35 for 30.89 (plus possible FB discount), then pay the extra fiver. I like this game.

I forgot about going the topup route, its a good idea. Does CDKeys still allow existing accounts to use 5% codes? I thought they put a stop to that a while back. When I looked on CDKeys the day I posted them had gone up to 39.99 for the code.

    December update is up:

    SOMA (PS4)
    Onrush (PS4)
    Steredenn (PS3)
    Steins;Gate (PS3)
    Iconoclasts (PS Vita + PS4)
    Papers, Please (PS Vita)

Got to say I'm really impressed this month. I already have Soma and Papers, Please, but they're both epic.

Really happy to get Iconoclasts too, and I've often been tempted to pick up Steins;Gate in sales, but never bit.

It sold terribly, it went on gamepass ages ago. It's just such a dull experience, I've given it a few goes and it's just not a decent game.

Excellent selection this month, for a change. I have a few of those already (Soma!), others are very welcome.

I really enjoyed SOMA, though I played it in Safe mode, or whatever it is called, and the story is great.

OnRush is basically Motorstorm? Id be all over that if it were 2008.

Not too bad a month for me with Steins;Gate being the only one I platinummed long ago (on Vita of course). Heard good things about Iconoclasts and Onrush and Soma is a game I have considered buying a few times. Papers Please could be fun handheld too.

Is it? I thought there was some bollocks about having to be in a team, and it not being about actually winning.

    Like a school sports day.
They should have called it School Sports Day.
That'll be where they went wrong.

Papers, Please works brilliantly on Vita. The screen is pretty much the perfect size (desktop real estate is brilliantly limited) and the game is pretty much made for touch screen play. It's a game I would jump on for a quick blast only to find myself still playing three hours later, and the themes stayed with me long after I'd put the game down.

(Not to mention I started playing just after the end of a long term relationship - it turns out being able to be a complete arsehole in a video game gives great sense of catharsis when you're angry about everything).

Tip: try to get the hang of holding your finger down to select document details you need to cross check. With the text size being fairly small, just tapping can be a bit imprecise. It's an intentionally fiddly game (and only gets more fiddly as events roll on) so minimising faff early on pays dividends.

Also, and this is really important, do NOT move apartment as soon as one becomes available, even if it seems like you can afford it. Because you can't afford it.
