PS4-PS+-PSA: PS4 owners can go to the web store https://store.playstation.com/en-gb/ and add the PS+ PS5 games to their library.

If you downloaded it rather than streamed it I can't see why not.
Apparently the base PS4 game save wonít transfer directly to the PS5 UE. You need to load the PS4 UE first.
Seems a bit daft but there have been issues with other PS$-PS5 save files so there you go.

Yeah but it's not on PS Now anymore. Do you have to open OG PS4 Control to export or can you just straight import into the Ultimate PS4 edition?

There is no export/import process. If the save is on your system the game will pick it up.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider last month and Control this is a big improvement for PS+ compared to the last few years. And then there is the PS+ collection too.

OK thanks, that's good news then. I wasn't massively taken with it honestly but I'll do the shiny PS5 DLC.

Annoyingly I bought it for £30 when it released expecting the PS5 upgrade to hit pretty soon (which they did say was going to happen). More my fault for buying a game brand new. Should always wait...

I ummed and aahed over upgrading my regular version of Control to the UE just a couple of months ago. Ended up doing it and looks like I should have just waited! Don't actually regret it though as I was champing at the bit for more Control at the time and it meant I could plough straight into the DLC. One of my favourite games ever, so I'm quite happy more folk will get to give it a shot that perhaps wouldn't have played it otherwise, it's utterly superb.

Certainly has been a good couple of months for PSPlus games.

I think cross gen saves have been cancelled. You have to start again if you want to play next gen version.

I bought the UE in the December sale but haven't even downloaded it as I was waiting for the PS5 upgrade. Reckon they'll give me a refund?

Worth asking. They've done it for other stuff on Plus.

@monkman76 If you've not downloaded it then I reckon they might well do.

I've done the exact same thing and submitted a request for a refund, I know you can always get stung by buying a game and it ending up on plus but they made a big deal about the only way to play it on ps5 is to buy the U.E.

Doubt it'll happen but its a bit shitty by Sony.

It's worth a try - I submitted a request last night and they refunded me this morning. I did buy it on 15th Jan though so still within 14 days

Shitty by Sony? They aren't the ones making it the UE only.

Fair point about Sony but after all the noise about needing the U.E to play the ps5 upgrade then giving it away free days from release doesn't sit well.

Well my request was turned down because it was outside the 14 days. Ah well.

Remedy/505 caused a situation that everyone has agreed is pretty shit.
Sony have provided a solution to give everyone access. That you find is shit?

Sure, anyone that has already bought the UE is going to find that the this month's PS+ offering holds less value but that's the same for any game in any month you already own.

    @Derblington

Spending 30 quid on an item your told you need then to offer it away free before release is indeed shit.

Like I said fair point about Sony not being directly to blame but the whole thing stinks.

But for the PS Plus you don't technically own the game as it's part of your subscription. I think the real kick in the balls was paying £30 to then have it discounted in the sales.

Think a lot of the anger is coming from the fact it happened just last month, and they did refunds then. So naturally it's now taken as a given.

One of them really isn't it? I'm sure we've all bought something that's been announced for PS+ very shortly after.

Exactly there's probably a good handful that was discounted, then announced shortly after.
The real issue to me is that the physical copy was released with promise of the upgrade, then it was delayed.. then it was discounted. There was no need for anyone to buy it for £30 and I blame myself for buying it day one more than the developer/publisher. Don't buy games day one.

Yeah, never buy games day 1, unless you are going to play them day 1. (And even then I often wait a few days before buying).

Didn't purchased Control so this is welcome news. Won't be bothering to download and play it on the PS4 it can wait until I've got a PS5 now whenever that maybe.
