I see this has now been confirmed for the US. No news on Europe, I surmise?

Incidentally, I see FFX has joined the list of imminent Platinum releases, in case anyone was planning on buying it in the next couple of weeks. Might be worth waiting.

I'd say x-2 will be released over here. There is a fairly big market for Final Fantasy games since VII came out and blew everyone away.

It is definitely coming out here. It's just not decided who'll publish it.

I thought FF games were normally published by SCEE over here? Why the indecision for this one anyway?

I don't think EA will publish it. I think they broke their publishing partnership with Square because of the merger.

EA never even had a relationship with Square in Europe, so it's not likely they'll publish FFX-2 over here. It'll be Sony or Infogrames, as usual.

Actually EA did work with Square Europe on 1 title. That game was the atrocious Driving Emotion Type-S. SCEE didn't want it so EA published it in Europe. But you are correct in asserting that it wil be either SCEE or Infogrames (although be prepared for some kind of SqEnix announcement).

Final Fantasy X-2 should be in the UK Q4!! By the way Gamesradar have the intro on MPEG to download!!
