Drought? i've barely scratched the surface of Red Dead, let alone the prospect of Mario Galaxy 2 and Metroid on the horizon. Add to that catching up on lower priority games (for me) like Alan Wake, 3D Dot game Heroes etc.. we're mega spoilt this year!

I feel as though it's gonna happen again.

Only games on my radar now are last of us 2, tsushima and death stranding and they won't be coming out for a long time. I don't know of any other triple A release for this year bar possibly Luigi's mansion 3 (getting that for the kids though).

I heard some noise about a game called Control which seems interesting. Dmc5, resi 2 I guess I'll pick up at some point but I don't know of any major title for this year.

No assassin's this year either and the annual cod is bleh.

Nothing definite for me until Shenmue 3. Which given how long I've waited for that particular game, I can live with.

Depends on the kind of games you want, I guess. Total War: Three Kingdoms is out late-May and is pretty much a guaranteed day-one purchase for me. There's also Rage 2, as a bit of a wild-card and I'm hoping (possibly unrealistic) that Persona 5R will be a summer release. Quite a few other decent games with "2019 TBC" release dates floating around, with Doom Eternal at the top of my personal list.

Edit: Oooops... and of course there's Borderlands 3 in September.

It wouldn't be a bad thing, I'll never have enough time to play all the great games that are already out. That being said, a quick look at what's scheduled for this Summer and both Days Gone and Mortal Kombat 11 are out in the next couple of weeks. Rage is out next month and then you've got Control and Shenmue 3 in August with Borderlands in September.

Depends what floats your boat really. Firstly Iíve got shit loads to fill my time up with as is, Iíve bought about 5 games already this year (although the looters and yoshi have turned out quite shit for me this year) Iíve bought resi2, anthem, division 2, dmc5, yoshi. All of those are/were considered AAA titles in my mind.

Oh also forgot that little game called sekiro!!

Summer is for taking a sunny stroll out to stock up on all those winter / spring releases you missed, so you can have something to do when that freak sunny day finishes and the rain starts again. ttrockstars
