It looks alright. It's funny though, the combination of realistic and cartonny should keep everyone happy, but it already seems like one of the more divisive Zeldas! So, doesn't look too shabby, but let's not get carried away and go comparing it to Okami. |

Hey I'm only suggesting that the art style is a total rip off, not that the game itself is comparable.
I'm sure Nintedo wouldn't rip off the whole playing a dog thing. Again. -

Yep I even liked TP.
Seriously though what are people expecting, it's a Wii game, it's never going to LOOK very nice now is it. -

Kirby looked nice for a flash game. -

Hmm, just had a peek it looks nice alright.
People hardly wanted a side scrolling Zelda though, bit of a different ball game tbf. -

Registered 12 years agoI love how this is set to come out next year now when we were bombarded for months with unbelievable promises of it coming out late this year.
They probably have to make the controls work lol. -

Registered 17 years agoIs it me or was Zelda the least interesting thing Nintendo had to show at the conference?
I just finished watching it, and I got excited for Kirby, Metroid, Donkey Kong, Kid Icarus, Goldeneye... fuck, even that Mickey game looked wicked. Zelda looked just like more Zelda, with silly arm-waving

glol. I did really like the look of it though. More excited to play it than I would be Skyward Sword. -

Sounds like a euphemism, if you catch my drift. -

Registered 14 years agoSkyward sword looks okay, but there's too many old-school design limitations, for example, the obvious cliffs designed to herd you from one place to another and the lack of any proper foliage that makes Link look he's wandering around a big green desert.
I think it's a little too late to be claiming motion controls as the big innovation the series needs. They did do a good job with Link on the DS but the Wii is a lot less precise and — assuming motion plus isn't mandatory — it may end being more of a nuisance than anything else. -

I thought M+ was mandatory for this one with the enemy AI blocking the direction of attacks as shown in the demo. -

Registered 17 years agoSo far it perhaps looks a bit like Valkyria Chronicles in style but without the dark outlines. -

In a first for the franchise, Link isn't raised in a village.
Jesus, it doesn't say much for how original the rest of the story is when they consider that worth mentioning. -
What is it with the Japanese and giant floating castles/cities in the sky? Next we'll be hearing that the new Zelda will also feature roller-skating mechs. -
Did anyone really ever have a problem with the maps in Zelda? -
not sure I like all this talk of easy-to-follow maps.
