It'll probably be one of the nerfed Wiis if they do end up doing a bundle.

May as well pick up a Wii now. They are so cheap.

They are like £150 aren't they? That is a bit expensive IMO. The new nerfed Wii are going to be like £80 I've heard.

Didn't the Wii RRP drop to £130 a while back?

£40 or £50 quid will net you a mint second hand wii.

I was one of the folk who sold my wii early on but bought a second hand one recently and am catching up on the games i missed out on while on wiihiatus.

Just in time for skyward sword and xenoblade. I dont know how skyward sword will stack up but if you like your rpgs then it seems to be a good time to get a wii.

£40 will do me nicely, also whats this motion plus that I've heard about, would I have to buy it separately?
  • Deleted user 31 August 2011 09:34:35
It's an attachment that allows the remote to capture more complex motions. You need it to play this game, but if you're getting the special edition then it's already built in to the golden remote.

Yeh the animation is fantastic on some of the enemies
  • Deleted user 13 September 2011 11:04:12
The game lasts between 50 to 100 hours according to IGN.

Looks like Nintendo have been taking character design tips from Studio Ghibli! Some of those monsters look decidedly Miyazaki.

The animation looks amazing, even the flying bits (which looked a bit shit initially) look awesome with the clouds etc. How it controls is another matter entirely.

Very much looking forward to this.

    Pre-ordered the fancy pants version.

Most anticipated game for me this year.

You don't get a gold nunchuck with the limited edition do you? That's going to look a bit shit, in my opinion.

Why do people compare Darksiders to Zelda? It's more like God of War but even more shit.

This is still the biggest danger-point for me. I'm still not sold on the combat, even though the gestures don't look quite as bad as I feared they would be in that video.

Because it has dungeons with treasure chests in them. It was OK but nothing special.

Indeed. Wii motion controls are generally poor but Nintendo have shown that they at least can wrangle them into a workable form.

Oh, and how bad was Miyamoto's miming to the on-screen play? Worse than Kinect Star Wars boy :D

I'm guessing because so much about it was inspired by it, especially the combat which did the same letterbox zoom thing when targeting.
  • Deleted user 13 September 2011 14:57:26
How it controls is my main concern. And Darksiders was an ok game but crap if you compare it to any of the Zelda's IMO.

Hard to believe we get 3 massive epic games within one month of each other.
  • Deleted user 13 September 2011 14:58:16
    Do we?
  • Deleted user 13 September 2011 15:03:44
    This, Skyrim and Dark Souls.

    And Batman.

I have all 4 pre-ordered but can only really justify 2 of them :-(

And Fifa and Mario 3D and Mario Kart and COD and Battlefield and Assasins Creed and Halo and Uncharted and Forza and Football manager and Gears of War and all those dance games that sell fuck loads. I probably missed a load out but the next few months have a massive amount of big selling games coming out

Anyway another new Zelda skyward sword trailer called the upgrading system

Yeah I got caught out by the Zelda comparisons and was very disappointed.
