I was steaming through this until I hit the 3rd desert level. What a difficulty spike! Don't seem to have any decent stickers to do a decent amount of damage to the number of Pokeys that are mooching about. I'm sure once I'm past that level I'll get back into it. |

Registered 17 years agoRemember that you can go back to the main hub area (or older levels) to pick up stickers again. Or you can just try to avoid the enemies... -
You can always return to Decalburg to buy more stickers. Stickers are also refreshed in any level once you've left it.
That also includes the items as well. -
I'm not one for avoiding enemies so I'll just rinse through the stickers I've got and buy some more.
Favourites are the Line Jump and Hurlhammer. Great for doing damage to multiple enemies. -

Registered 17 years agoI'm loving this long time!
As much as I'm upset about how things have been changed from A Thousand Year Door , it's still a great game.
One thing I would like to see is a in-game database so I can look up information on all the different enemies and stickers. I find that every time I load up a game I've forgotten how much damage a particular sticker does or the best way of defending against a particular enemy. -

I've had a good look around for it a number of times, in the end I just gave up and assumed there wasn't one! -

Ah well, freebies are freebies I suppose... -

Registered 13 years agoAmazing trailer where they actually built some parts of the game
These videos show you how they did it

I have completed the game now and whilst I really enjoyed it I can see why reviews were not so favourable. I have been avoiding intense games whilst giving up smoking over the last 3 weeks and I found this was a perfect distraction. -
Seriously, why doesn't Nintendo Europe use the same advert? That is awesome!
I need to go back to playing this. A perfect distraction to assist in giving up smoking? Might give it a go

Registered 13 years agoYeah I think its the jazzy music that did it. I did use a guide though when I got stuck which probably eased any frustrations it may cause. -

Registered 20 years agoMust admit, I found the Thing sticker puzzles incredibly arbitrary at times, so I did resort to a FAQ for those, and for getting all the +5 hearts and getting some of the rarer stickers for the museum. Decent game, if a little short and somewhat lacking in the wit of the older games. Glad I waited for a price drop, to be honest. -

No, no dribbling. I have just written a new article for Design Week called 'A game of design' which you might enjoy, illustration to go with it too. -

Registered 17 years agoJust reached the end of this tonight. Anyone else completed it? Dragged a bit towards the end i felt but overall a very enjoyable little, well, big game. -

Registered 20 years agoOnly dragged for me because I was determined to complete the museum thingy. Not sure, but it didn't feel as long as either the N64 or GC versions, so felt a bit short to me. Especially once you got the boat I expected to be going more places than across the channel. -

Registered 14 years agoOK, after having put off buying this game on plenty of occasions, I've just picked up a bit of a bargain. In Tesco. Yes. Really.
Was wandering through the games aisle and saw Paper Mario: Sticker Star on the bottom shelf of the "random Nintendo" section, saying it was £20; I looked a bit closer, it turned out it was actually the price label for Mario and Sonic at the Olympics, but I then realised there was no marked space for PM:SS on any of the shelves. I thought I'd take the chance and took it over to a price checker unit mounted on a wall, scanned it and it came up as £10. Went straight in the basket, half-expecting it to come up differently at the checkout, but it still showed up as £10 there.
So, if you've been thinking about it, go check out your local Tesco to see if they've got any copies lying around still. -

Registered 13 years ago@YenRug Great find! Just checked my local Tesco and they had the price label for this at £10... and none left
They had a few games pretty cheap on 3DS actually but nothing I wanted. -
@dazcox5181 Seems it's listed on their website at this price, but out of stock:
http://www.tesco.com/direct/paper-mario-sticker-star-3d/641-2428.prd
You can set up a stock alert, but looking like I was lucky, at the moment. Might be worth my while checking the other Tesco stores in town.
