I think I was a bit stupid by going with 3 Cowboy players, but the East should be theirs this coming season with the Giants being a shadow of their former selves, the Eagles in transition and the Redskins being the Redskins. -

Still not really up on who's who in the NFL so my picks where a combination of ESPN headlines and sorting of the projections... mostly because the little research I did went out the window about half way through Round 1.
It should add some spice to watching the games this season although that'll probably be me shouting at the TV calling one of my players a donkey. -

Registered 12 years agoCompletely forgot about the draft even though I reminded myself earlier in the day about it. Guess the (real football) match took my mind off it, d'oh.
Anyway seems my pre-draft rankings came in handy and I'm pretty pleased with the team I've got. Glad I got Peyton, and think I got a pretty good defense in the Saints, although I think I probably messed up a little bit somewhere because I've got 4 kickers in my team :S. -

Did you rank kickers? You madman! There's some nice free agents still there my bench just isn't big enough.
Hopefully we'll see some trades in this league etc, it doesn't really happen when you're in a league of randoms. -

That trade looks great for the boy getting Cooley and Spiller. Spiller is going to be the number 1 back in buffalo and Cooley should do well with McNabb. -

Just heard the NFL Commissioner on the radio today and he claims the NFL is picking up a lot of steam in the UK! Claims the game they plan to play there this year was sold out in mere hours. -

Registered 17 years agoI'm feeling cautiously optimistic about my Fish for this season. Brandon Marshall could be a key pickup there and give Henne a proper target to throw too. If we can tighten up at the back a little, I think we could do ok...
As for Wembley, hopefully the new semi-artificial grass they've got now will make the turf hold up a bit more this year. It's been a bit shit for the last three years. Cracking day out though, so if we can get a good game too, then even better. -
True, I remember how the first NFL game totally wrecked the pitch for England's game which they then lost and didn't go to Austria/Switzerland. Yeah hope you have a good day, maybe post a few pics on flickr or something?
