I just signed up to Audible to get the Twin Peaks book for free (I also have the hardback copy as I'm obsessed, it's true) but I'm going to leave my subscription on for a bit and pick this up with next month's credit, as it's way cheaper than buying it still.

Started listening to Nomad this morning. About 45 mins down. Hasn't really made me laugh yet but it's pleasant enough.

Yeah it's not as laugh out loud as I, Partridge but it is picking up. The bit where he met Claire Balding was funny.

Definitely getting funnier as it goes on. The bit on the swimming pool got a few lols.

I've just about finished it and yeah, definitely gets more funny as it goes on, had a few wobbles down the A1 yesterday as I was listening.

Sue Cook, interesting that she can't cook. But *will* sue :D

Yeah I enjoyed it too. Regular lols to and from work. Although the Toast audible book did eclipse both of Partridge's for me.

Still, thanks to audible making some kind of error in my free trial I got both the Alans and the Toast book for nowt. Not a bad haul. Feel a bit guilty considering how much pleasure I derived from listening to them though!

A BBC One series will then air next year.

The fact that it's back on the BBC means Ianucci is more likely to be involved. He's finished his new film as well now so could work out timing wise. Fingers crossed.

It's a shame Michael is dead. I had a cup of beans to mourn him when I found out.

Quite franly some of the greatest TV related news I've ever heard. Imagine how smug Alan's going to be having been asked to return to the BBC :D

Seems more Coogan than Partridge, but for what it's worth here's a poem from Alan:

It's from Alan Partridge's Scissored Isle from last year (or "Partirdge's" as the end of that clip has it...)

Yeah he seems to have forgot how to Partridge a bit. This one was pretty funny but not really Partridge.

    MY ASSISTANT!

    MY ASSISTANT!

Why does he never name-check her in the book? Always calls her 'my assistant'?
