On second thoughts, it's a bit of a slab. Not sure I want a phone that big. Will go for the 800 :)

I'm still pretty happy with my 800 purchase after seeing the 900. But still, looks like a nice bit of kit.

    From Nokia UK's twitter:

We're getting lots of tweets about Nokia Lumia 900 - UK availability of the Nokia Lumia 900 has not been announced, but watch this space!

You won't regret it. I've had mine since launch day and it is a lovely bit of kit. I can confidently say that in the 12 years or so that I've been using Nokia phones, it is the best phone they have ever produced.

New live enabled 'free' game on the marketplace. Bug Village. Nice looking, but supports in game currency purchase for real monies. Will see how long I can last without needing to spend anything, buy wouldn't recommend giving your phone to a child to play this if you have a card attached to your account.

It's great and shit at the same time. Great because you can use it as a remote control or browse the marketplace within the app. Shit because the app won't even launch if the console if off, so you can forget about browsing the marketplace away from home for instance.
Does other cool things like allowing you to set up beacons.

Just ordered a Lumia 800 Cyan SIM free for £360 and managed to snag a deal on my monthly charges not taking an upgrade so am a happy boy.

Hopefully it turns up before the weekend! :)

I really wish my LG O7 would stop rebooting every time I get a text or whenever I try to open Facebook :-(

I think there's a fundamental fault with the Optimus, mine used to do that even before it upgraded to Mango but got much worse after the update.

You could probably get it replaced by LG if you've had it from new, or just sack it off and get a Lumia.

Silly question which I could probably find out by Googling but thought I'd involve the thread: can you buy apps/games with MS Live Points?

Sadly not, everything's charged in real currency.

I half expect them to add MSP support at some point but it's not there yet.

Eeek!! My Lumia 800 Cyan turned up last night :D

Really enjoying getting used to the Metro interface etc.

Now, any recommendations for essential apps/games? I've already downloaded the Nokia Drive/Maps/Music, Whatsapp, BBC Radio Player, HotUKDeals and The Guardian along with Ilomilo, Kinectimals and a few trials of the better games.

    New phone feeling is good!

The Samsung Focus S seems to be getting an equally warm reception as the Nokia Lumia phone(s) has been receiving:

Can anyone help me? The app list to the right of the start screen has changed its layout on my phone.

It used to just be a long list of apps but now it has sections #, a, b, c etc. Any way to switch it back to just a list without sections?

The app list switches to a jump list when you install more than a certain number of apps. I don't think there's any way to change it, other than deleting a few apps. It's supposed to make an app faster to find - if you touch a letter, it'll bring up the alphabet, allowing you to pick a letter and jump straight to that section.

    ^^ What he says...
Believe me you'll be glad to have that once you start piling up apps on your device.

You're probably right. I'll just get used to it.

I'm currently making my way through most of the XBL game trials and buying those which have unique or lasting qualities on a quick play.

Yeah I love that about WP, I've just bought an iPad and not having the option to try games is killing me.

MS were really onto a good thing making trials mandatory. Makes the other platforms (console and mobile) look a bit backward by having only the occasional free version/demo.

Full House Poker is not bad, it's a purely single player experience though. But as an added bonus you get to unlock the music from the game as ringtones.

I Dig It is a nice take on the Dig-Dug style of game. Hydro Thunder is very polished, but I wouldn't go £3.99 on it. Tried a demo of Pocket God yesterday, looks quite amusing.

When is the Focus S coming to the UK?! For fuckels sake I'm due an upgrade next month! I'll have to wait.

    Bastards :p

I'm pretty sure the question was brought up to Samsung during CES and they have no plans for a European Focus S. Your only hope (and mine) is Nokia bringing the Lumia 900 to Europe as it has pretty much the same specs.
