Well Cheltenham is on over the next three days, I'd love to be going. Days at the races can be great. Any of the EG crew planning on going? Anyone have any tips, I could do with winning a few euro:)

God dont remind me, my dad is the ultimate racing buff/bore. Although going to the races is a good day out, being forced to watch 'at the races' on sky for hours on end is not my idea of fun.

Was hoping to take the family down for it but work means we'll be missing it.
Might put a few bets on tho, if I get any good tips i'll pass them on :o)

I enjoy the whole drinking free champaigne while looking at sexy ladies part. The bookies won't get rich on my 5 euro each-way bets.

900 posts :o) nearly there Keyser.
Aye, the all day drinking and a few bets here and there makes for a great day and the kiddies love the horses.

I quite enjoy going to the races, I never make much, if any money though, but it's a good day out.

Went to Epsom for the derby a few years ago if I remember correctly and the heavens opened quickly turning it into a recreation of the Battle Of The Somme! Did make some money that day so it wasn't all bad.

Thanks Mr. Huckle, 1000 by close of trading this friday:) I've never won any big money on the horses, thats why I'm asking for tips.

I live in horse racing central here in Kildare, near Naas, Punchestown and The Curragh.

I don't think we do horses, do we gang? And my ex is from there and I'd probably be done for murder if I ever went back!

Anyone putting a few bets on this year?

I had decent money on Weird Al in the RSA Chase but he dropped out.

Yeah, think I'll throw away a few quid this lunchtime :)
Exmoor Ranger at 16/1 in the 2.40 seems like a decent e/w.

That Wheatabix advert has made any future race seem even more boring now.

Well, the 2.40 is the only race I hadn't a bet on.. so put a few eurons on E.Ranger e/w.

Your entire reputation is dependent on this young man!

I actually don't know a person who hasn't bet on Dunguib in the 1.30. Gonna be some serious money lost if he doesn't come in

I've Dunguib in a double, and Get me out of here e/w just in case.

Weather forecast not so good though :(

I've had a cheeky e/w on Oscar Whiskey in the 1.30.

2 tips: Sizing Europe and Punjabi. I have no idea how valid they are, but hey, they came from Ireland, so must be good!

Someone want to change this to Sport?

Dunguiblol - would have put a 5er on him had I not got stuck in the office over lunch.

2.5 e/w on New Alco in the 2.40 and 5w on Khyber Kim in the 3.20.

Same as that :) Have 5 e/w on two other horses today. Khyber Kim in the 3.20 and Easter Legend in the 4.40, hopefully they can finish their races at least :D

I work in a bookies. Glad I'm missing two days of this. The only day I enjoy out of the 'big' meetings is the Grand National. It's the one day you get some nice, polite people in that don't go mental if their 1 e/w bet goes down.

The betting shop changes people. I'm sure they're nice outside of it but as soon as they walk through the doors 90% of people become utter cunts

    I think I need a change of career :-)
