King_Edward wrote:Lol, I'm pissed and I only paid £15 or the CE. That Dark Souls DE will definitely be worth it. The original guide was invaluable, it didn't just help with the game it made it more fun. It is the only way to know what components you need to make up certain weapons and the like. Never used the actual walkthrough but that was because there was no real need, DS is perfection because it is so damn realistic in the way it controls. I don't need a guide to tell me that I should probably keep my shield up and be careful when I creep down this alley approaching a horrible noise in the background that is getting louder and louder as I creep, the alley being lined with open prison sells, each filled with zombie prisoners that jump out at me. |

Collectors Edition

"Forthcoming action RPG Dark Souls is getting a lavish Collector's Edition, and it won't cost you a penny more than the standard game, publisher Namco Bandai has announced"
That's how to do a collectors edition. ^_^ -

Registered 15 years agoI'd like more collectible figures in my CEs. What am I going to do with a book - can't sit it on a shelf to look at until the end of time!
Still, for the same price it's hard to complain. -
Collectable figures is just more shit to stick in the cupboard as the missus will never let me put it on the shelf. Much prefer the book. -

If there was a flaw in Demons Souls it was how the physics of stuff you'd killed felt like they were suddenly the weight of paper. I really hope they fix that as it kinda slightly spoilt the immersion a bit. And the immersion was superb. -

Where'd you see it for 33.99? Cheapest I could find was Zavvi at 37ish?
Dark Souls just gained the honour of being my first ever proper pre-order due to super duper special edition goodness for only £33.39!
/Will probably forget about it and end up pre-ordering it again.
Not sure why Eurogamer are only telling us about Play and Game though, since it's available pretty much everywhere. -

Registered 15 years agoGod that just looks epic. I'll be very surprised indeed if it isn't game of the year for me.
Looks like a slightly fancier engine but the same old character animations though. -

Registered 15 years agoHow big were the environments in Demons Souls?
More like The Witcher or Fallout? -

Registered 17 years agoEnvironments were fairly large, but not totally open like Fallout. More like FO3's subway or some of the larger buildings. -

Looks good, a subtle evolution of the animation.

Registered 13 years agoOh man, when that boss burst through the doors in the vid I got same feeling of fear I did when playing DS when you came across something new that you knew could kill you almost instantly and you had no idea how to kill it yet.
Can't wait. Think I will get on PS3 again, joypad worked well work this game. D-pad needs to be good for equipment quick swapping too. -
Story trailer. \o/ -
