If you've killed Four Kings before revisiting Asylum, you'll find that very easy.

Last night I ventured into DLC on the PC for the first time. I'm on SL110 and still find Artorias very hard indeed, but I get the feeling I can do him, so that should be an indicator of whether you can go in at your level. It's hard but the fight is really epic, the kind of fight I know I'll raise a fist afterwards and frighten the neighbours with my triumphant roar.

Can't remember exactly what level I ended my first playthrough (actually the only playthrough I finished, after that I kept 'puttering' with builds before I bought the PC version for 1080p lushness) I think I was over 130 which is considered a bit high. Yeah, I still had a hard time with 4K and then Gwyn, what can I say, I don't have the sharpest reflexes at my age :p

    @stryker1121

    I think I finished on 92.

Is this your first time revisiting the asylum?

From what I hear, the boss in the DLC is tougher than the vanilla end-game boss.
    Which one? :)

You will pick up an item at the asylum that will get you into a new (and optional) area.

It's a place well worth visiting though.

@stryker1121 - There might be quite a few places you haven't seen yet that are part of the main game.
One part inparticular I didn't find until my second playthrough.

The last boss in the dlc is an absolute dick if you are anything other than pure melee, I was a sorcerer the first time around and it was near impossible for my skills. Did him on the third go with my heavy character.

Oh and Artorias is a great fight but there are some tips if you need them.

@Mr_Sleep - Yeah I had to summon people for two bosses in the DLC because I was a pure faith class, and my devine/occult weapons were rubbish. They seemed to be terrible at killing most things in the DLC. Although Sunlight Spear miracle whooped Artorias.

However Kalameet and Manus were impossible as a pure faith character.

I finished my first run about SL85 I think. I was exceedingly worried about levelling too high to be able to summon help!

Finished first game in the 80s but the second game at level 30

So much easier when you know what you are doing!

@FogHeart Well, that's all massively cryptic and intriguing. Thank you... I think.

Shame it's Valentines and Dark Souls is banned by the wife this evening.

I should add that I've not yet explored the catacombs past the graveyard, or the flooded ruins under Firelink. Too dark and scary. Should I do those before Dark Root?

I've started again after wasting a load of titanite with my first playthrough, died once after beating the Taurus demon and the black knight in undead burg! Am I doing it wrong?

Thanks for the advice the other day, chaps. I defeated Sif at the first time of asking (well, not including my earlier fail) but I chugged a lot of Estus in the process. I couldn't find a way to consistently get in close without eating sword. Oh well.

For some reason I then decided to make a detour to the Archives. After escaping from the cell, I ended up back the main hall. Do I have to return to Seath for another spanking or have I missed something (again)?

@MadCaddy13 Take a look at the levelling strategies that were mentioned a few pages back, choose a fighting style (light or heavy) and go for it.

Don't worry about titanite: all but the highest grade ones are in infinite supply and easy to buy or farm.

Bit help required. If I give snuggly the crow 15 moss at once will she give me 15 twinkling titanite. Or do I need to do it one at a time. I got those three DEX points I needed.

You can only swap the moss once so don't drop 15

Best place for twinkling is the clams near S the S Less cave

You can farm 2-3 every run from his bonfire easily

@retro74 not that far on at the minute tho. Snuggly prob my easiest option at the minute. Got plenty of moss to trade from the ends of darkroot.
