    What, dark souls 1?

    Haha

    I also may have been thinking about a new DS3 character. I've probably played that as little as I have ds2

    This is ridiculous. I might as well just play all 4 constantly. Well, 5 if you count BB

    Yeah DS1. Loved it as much as I always have.

    I can play DS1-3 and BB ad infinitum I think. I'll be doing the same with Demon's now I reckon.

    I'm the same, they are too good to stop playing - although I'll probably never go back to Sekiro!

    @retro74

    Same here. I *might* try nioh again at some point but I probably won't.

    The pull of any of the souls games is simply too much. They are all definitely my virtual slipper games

    Yeah. Very much mine too. I find them so comfortable and relaxing. Case in point: Had a fucking shite day yesterday, rolled a DS3 character in the evening for an hour, instantly felt more relaxed and I could feel the stress sliding off me.

    I feel exactly the same. It's amazing that a game that was marketed as brutal and punishing is now a soothing warm hug

    Agreed, as soon as I hear the music, that's it, I've switched off from whatever fuckery I was doing earlier in the day.

    Crap, I can't remember, where do I find the lightning spear? As a matter of fact, I'd like more than one. Maybe even three. If pyromancers can go around blasting everything and never using their weapons, I wanna do it too.

    Oh, right. And the stronger one from ranking up, right? I'll have to farm some sunlight medals.

    Still, would like to get more than one if possible...

    Made a bit of progress in these two days. I'm headed to Sen's Fortress now.

    Wondering if I shouldn't farm a few slugs first, to get enough green titanite to bring my mace to Divine+5. But the idea of going back to Blighttown... eh. Would be good to make my life easier though.

    More progress, I'm now up in Anor Londo. I did end up going back to Blighttown after all, that Divine Mace +5 is feeling pretty useful right now.

    Man... I forgot this is where the game starts going downhill. Anor Londo is still good, although those roofs are the worst. But after this I'll have to deal the darkness of the Tomb of Giants, the freaking ghosts in New Londo, the entirety of Lost Izalith... oh and the Crystal Cave. Nice that. And then the most annoying final boss ever. Wonder if maybe I can find a summon sign for him...

    @Malek86

    You got a light source for totg?

    Yeah, new londo is a bit pant shitting and tense, admittedly.

    If you've preserved solaires quest line and he hasn't gone hollow in the shortcut you can summon him for Gwyn.

    Ironically, while I struggle against most bosses, I am comfortable with Gwyn. It's all about parrying the *second* attack he does when he hits 3 times in a row. Not the first or the third.

    I might have a character within range if you want a hand.

    @quadfather well it will be a while before I get there.

    But when I do get there, if I struggle too much with simply rolling (I've never learned how to parry), maybe I'll take you up on that offer.

    Sure just let us know. I don't parry much either - but I just know how to specifically parry gwyn.

    How about the quality artorias expansion areas and bosses? Surely they make up for the weaker main game final 1/3? Oh and the frosty place in the painting is top tier Souls too.

    Unfortunately I'm on the 360 version. Runs very well on the Series S, but as you might imagine, it's pretty dead. Still quite a few messages around though.

    Don't think I can get Solaire because I'd need to abandon the sunbros and join the spiders covenant. I could do it, of course, but then I'd need to farm some extra humanity too. Don't think I have 30.

    I think I have time until after the Centipede Demon to make my choice, right? Maybe I'll go and make sure as soon as possible. Wouldn't wanna get stuck on the final boss after so long. I hate the Kiln too. Don't know if anyone here is on the 360 version, so I'd rather have this backup plan.

    @Malek86 I still have my 360 and a fair few characters on there. Not sure if any around your projected level but happy to try and help if you need it.

    In fact it looks like I can still download the original version to my one x.

    @wuntyate that would help. I guess by the end of the game I'll be around level 80 or so, that's my usual ballpark.

    I've got a couple of characters around mid game. Nothing at end game alas, all those chaps are in the next NG cycle.

    If you get to the stage you need a hand Malek I'll try whizz one through to the Kiln.

    This... was a blast from the past though. My first ever souls character is here.

    /sob
