If I could get stuff without using PayPal, I would, its not my fault I live in the middle of no-where.
Its easier for me to get stuff online and pay (With PayPal) for 30$ shipping rather than a 400$ one way plane trip to the city for it.
Damn it. I just want a Wii-U for my birthday is all. -

Sorry, what now? Simpsons is shown in English with Dutch subtitels in Belgium and The Netherlands. So anything they say regularly should be recongised. Can't say 'yoink' rings a bell though so maybe you're right?
Today I learned that 'yoink' is not a Simpsons reference in Dutch. -

Now none of us, most of whom have been working in IT for many years, knew you could do that.
Not as useful as Windows-L but handy all the same.

Registered 14 years agoToday I learned that female tortoises can store sperm inside their bodies for up to three years until they are ready to make baby tortoises.
If they have multiple batches stored, they use the oldest first.
I also learned that you can get special gloves for shooting. The trigger finger has a gap allowing the finger to be removed for shooting, and put back inside the glove so that it doesn't go numb between shots. -

Very sensible as one would expect of tortoises. -

Registered 14 years ago- Crocodile tastes like delicious chicken, but if that chicken was bigger than you, had to be beaten in a fight before it could be killed, and you can taste its resentment at being eaten. And that resentment tastes very good indeed.
- Kangaroo is like lamb, but lamb that's thought really deeply about how it wants to taste like and has decided that if it's going to be eaten it may as well taste as interesting and exotic as possible.
- Don't ever have bison steak. For the rest of your days you will look at beef steaks and know that no matter how delicious they will taste, they are not as delicious as bison steaks, so eating them will make you sad.

Registered 14 years agoI'd put Zebra above kangaroo, for what it's worth. And whale above pretty much everything (though I've not had Bison).

Registered 17 years agoHere's another one for my fellow IT numpties, which I always use in multi-screen situations.
Scenario: You have an application open and its window has somehow moved way off of screen and a user is moaning that they cant see it, yet the app is there on the Task Bar.
Solution: Hit ALT+SPACE+M (individually not together) then hold any one of the cursor keys for a few seconds. Then, switch to the mouse and drag the mouse pointer to the main viewing area. The windowed app will be magically stuck to the mouse pointer until you left click.
Also, in Windows 7, hold down left shift before right clicking an app on the toolbar to see the traditional Windows menu. -
Windows key Up key is also handy. -
