Looks like you were spot on, new Kill Team after all.
You're probably right about the campaign book, but GW usually reveal more on these online previews. I know they love releasing books at the moment (seriously, how many do you need to play an army right now???) but it's usually something more substantial.

Registered 2 years agoI reckon if you paint it as say an Ultramarine, with GW paints, it will cost about £14million. -

I just hope they don't change too much! -

Registered 17 years agoNew KillTeam set looks pretty great - but expensive with all that terrain...

Registered 5 years agoYeah, seems like they didn’t learn much about keeping it consumer friendly (or as much as GW gets) after Necromunda Dark Uprising.

I've got this lot to do, that'll keep me occupied for a while.

Registered 17 years agoI'm not saying it's going to be cheap, but the original starter box probably had more terrain and came in at around 70-90 quid. I know I bought it for around 70. Not cheap but probably reasonable.
They have done cheap starter boxes for their other games and got really shitty feedback. The Aeronautica starter boxes are great, you get loads of models for your money, but to keep it cheap (about 45 quid) they don't include some key items, like a full rule book or the datacards needed to really enjoy the game.
I'm not sure what they could leave out of the new KT box without having the same complaints. The box already doesn't include the compendium book with all the rules for the other factions. -

Registered 17 years agoHmmm - with, what, 20+ minis plus a bunch of scenery, I reckon this'll be comfortably more than £100.
I mean the Necron KillTeam set has about a dozen figures and much less scenery, and that RRP's for £95... -

Oh yeah, each Kill Team set they've done since the first have got steadily worse and worse, the most recent was aweful, didnt even have the rulebook in it, but the first set was amazing. 10 Admech, 10 GSC, a serious amount of terrain and the full rulebook (with stats for all factions, somehting this set wont have.)

I mean it might be 100+, and with the plastic Krieg being so in demand I can see it being more expensive, but I wouldnt be suprissed to see 90 (70 with store discount).
At christmas remember, they released the new Blood Bowl box. Everyone was saying it would be 120ish, but came in much cheaper. They have suprised me in the past.
I probably wont get the big box anyway. I'm only really interested in the Orks. I dont need the scenary since I already have the buildings and board from the first KT box. I'll proably just pick up the rulebook and the compendium, for now. -
