I've been reading nothing but Patricia Highsmith and Kafka for the past year now and although they're my firm favourites I think I need a break and need to try something different.

Something pleasant and charming without being saccharine. Thanks in advance!

Curious Incident of the Dog at Midnight (or whatever it's called exactly). No idea how accurate a portrayal of autism it actually is, but it certainly opened my eyes and I found it quite touching.

Norwegian Wood by Murakami, he has a very relaxing style of writing and I found the book to be quite emotional, not the kind of thing I would normally read and I wouldn't have even considered it if it had been by any other writer.

    A world made by hand
A cozy-catastrophe book. I for one want to lie in that world.

I'm reading Notes From a Small Island by Bill Bryson, and it's bloody funny. I'm only a few chapters in but I would recommend it, especially if it's something lighthearted that you're after.
