I appreciate this is about a Wii advert, but I think it touches on the wider issue of the games industry and what Nintendo is doing..

..I don't usually watch daytime TV, but I've had the priviledge being off work this week. And what did I see? A longer-than-usual advert which starts off featuring a priest, a burlesque dancer and a group of old people. They're all talking about something they do, which might be a bit naughty.

It later turns out that they're talking about playing the Wii. We see them all having fun, lots of it, with Nintendo's console. And then it ends by saying that the Wii is the nation's favourite.

Like some kind of bread or margarine. The advert is awful. It's bloody awful. I tried to find it on YouTube but couldn't. Has anyone else had to endure seeing it or is it only me?

Yeah, I saw this dross. They're getting quite pretentious now.
