When someone is Globally Ignored, make it so that there's absolutely no way for them to know that they've been ignored. In other words their posts will appear on the forum as noral, but they're missed off for everyone else. -

Isn't this already the case for GIs? I thought it was.
That said, I think that people who have been GId should be informed because if they don't know they have been punished (for want of a better term) or why, how can they be expected to modify their behaviour in the future? Also it enables them to open a dialogue with mods and appeal. A GI should come with a requirement that Mods have to send a PM to the person, or at the very least an auto-pm is sent. In my opinion, of course. I just see it as courtesy. -

Registered 13 years agoMaybe give people a "points" system, like a driving license (that only they can see). Certain offenses are worth certain amounts of points, reach a limit and a sanction is imposed. Could be automated to a degree as well I suppose. -
